Scottish Cup 4th Round weekend, day out to the capital to face a non-league team we *should* beat comfortably. Teams up and down the country involved in the best weekend of the season, to stay in the hunt for Scottish football's only significant trophy.

Ayr United and The Airdrieonians fans doing their Christmas shopping instead.

Just had my first fried egg sandwich in for-ages. Why did I forget how good they are?

Honestly don't think I've ever had one but, frankly, I don't think I've ever wanted anything more

Just been out in the car for the first time in a few months as Mrs WRK managed to spend over a ton in Tesco last night and still forget milk.

Good news: there's been some serious resurfacing done on the road to the village, bringing it right up to nineteenth century standards.

Bad news: The local horse riders have increased as their control of the crazed beasts has waned. Yes, Arabella, I'd love to pass you - I just don't fancy hoofprints all over my passenger door.

Weird news: the local pig farm has expanded to an amazing degree- there's pork chop kits and (really) raw bacon everywhere. Thing is, with all the little huts in row after row, it looks a bit like a scale model concentration camp...
