Deeboy
Imagine being a boss in an office environment and taking in a bottle of vodka to get steaming off of. What a fucking hero.
Shandon Par
At my first proper job in London my immediate boss and I would always have a decent malt on the go, ciggies, cigars and now and again a bit cocaine in our office. Seemed very civilised.
Bobby Skidmarks
Just sounds like a moron from what my gf said and did something that only an arsehole boss would do to one of her co workers. Generally sounds like a dick I'm not saying that to be mean. He was probably just pished at the time, cut him some slack.
Njord
If the guy says he's an alcoholic, they can't sack him and must offer him some form of help for his problem. I know this to be true because my mate Dave in the pub told me. But as he's just started he may still be on probationary period, in which case they could horse him . Throbber probably thinks his gf is playing away, and that's why he wants the boy sacked.
throbber
What did he do other than get pissed? My GF explained to me what he did earlier this morning but i wasn't really listening, basically sat through a meeting between this girl and a client then interrupted half way in with false information making this girl to look like an idiot and now the girl has to clean up the mess that the boss left her in. Just sounds like a general arsehole apart from that - I haven't met him though As for not being able to sack him if he says he's an alcoholic i don't really know that one, there was another co worker she had there who was an alcy who they had to sack after about 2 weeks as she was clearly mentally unhinged, she ended up harassing the office with phone calls and threats about various things until she eventually gave up. Think they can sack the boss if he hasnt been there that long and is on a probation spell though, can just say that its not working out or what ever. Will be hard enough going to the place of work and meeting new people knowing you are there boss but if the office see you stumbling about drunk then the employees aren't exactly going to look up to him as a boss figure are they? Think either way he won't be coming back.

P45
That gastric band surgery sounds worse than eating less and exercising more.
Boostin' Kev
It's historically taken me 4-6 weeks after starting a new job to get completely wrecked and pester the ladies, I kind of admire this guy's efficiency.

Honest_Man#1
If the guy says he's an alcoholic, they can't sack him and must offer him some form of help for his problem. I know this to be true because my mate Dave in the pub told me. As Wunfellaf says, if he's been there for less than a few months they can sack him. When I worked in a shop a couple of years ago it turned out that one of the women had been drinking vodka disguised in a coke bottle throughout the time she'd been there. Everyone thought she was just a bit loud and 'bubbly' except one guy who was adamant she was half cut the entire time. He was correct, and she was escorted out of the building by management, never to return. -

throbber
It will be a pretty humiliating thing to happen though being caught out like that if you are fairly new - if you had been there for years and this was a one off thing then you could probably get away with it but can't see it this case. Mrs Throbber hasnt updated me, she is the type that wouldnt just ask someone what happened though

BFTD
What operation did you have Dave? I was tempted to go down the gender reassignment route when answering Miley, but I figured somebody would get there eventually No operation - Roberto decided that I hadn't been P'ing my B lately because I was having a gastric band fitted, but I'd never manage to get through that EU butter mountain with one of those. Edit: kudos to Bobby that me having a band appears to be becoming a thing Edited December 8, 2015 by BigFatTabbyDave

M0rtonfc
Update - her boss isn't there today but she doesn't know if he's working elsewhere at another office and hasnt heard anything about his whereabouts. Personally i hope he has been sacked. Guy at work after a long week in the office decides to have a drink, has a bit too much and his missus picks him up later on, doesn't do anyone any harm.... Oh aye, sack the b*****d! What a knob this Throbber lad is.
