Short of a complete catastrophe I think we'll call the GC over and done with there.

All over and done a week into a 3 week race. Now just a competition to see who can get closest. Even if other teams gang up on UAE Pogacar looks strong enough to win this race solo

I think they have to at least try that to make it more interesting.

The UAE team, comparatively, isn't that strong. They just have Pogacar who is like a one man army. You'd really hope Jumbo-Visma/Ineos/DSM would attempt to try and crack them together or else this whole tour is over and done with as a contest.

Still, at least we might get Wout doing more Wout things to keep it entertaining.

Shame MVDP is off form, imagine both of them constantly attacking.

Superb effort by Bob Jungels today to go solo for over 60km and win the stage. Looked like Pinot was going to catch him on the final climb, but he fell away and was passed by Castriviego and Verona and finished 4th.

Pogacar won the sprint for 5th an grabbed another few seconds towards his GC lead.

Main talking point today should be how Maijka is still riding having tested covid +ve, but the race has been stopped due to protesters.

Durbridge from Bike Exchange & Bennett, UAE, out due to covid.

Not entirely sure what a "low viral load" means? Surely you're either positive or you aren't?

Roga & Vingegaard trying to work over Poga, in a group containing Thomas. Broke over top of the Telegraphe & giving it the old 1-2 on the flat before the Galibier.
All come back together now.
WVA still 5.50 mins up the road at the Tete de la course. But has just, effectively sat up, letting Barguil disappear up the road for the stage.
