kiddy
This GC is going to be flung in the air, & we'll see where they land.
well fan for life
Fair play to Vingegaard and WvA for going all out to not wear that absolutely hideous swap out TJV jersey any longer. As I typed that Yates has just rolled away from Pogacar. Think he's knackered.

peasy23
Not only is Vingegaard going into yellow, he's going to have a fairly decent lead

well fan for life
That's the best Grand Tour stage in years. Superb racing all round.
peasy23
I only saw the last hour, but that was superb racing.
kiddy
How much has Vingegaard invested too? It's a 3 week race, & we're only halfway through. Was impressed with the way Thomas seems to be riding into form for that final week.

kiddy
Would say that anybody within 3 mins could still win this, but Pogacar's tour looks to be on the slide, the way he bonked.
buddie06smfc
Mental! Tremendous racing and amazing effort by Vingegaard. Guess it’s not over after all. I thought JV had blown it going from too far out, they then had 5 in the pack going up the last climb then suddenly down to just Vingegaard with 20km to go & Majka still there with Pogacar. It will be interesting to see how much all have expended today with what’s to come tomorrow. Great effort from Thomas as well, unfortunate to be out of the podium spots. Mightly impressive from van Aert as well.

kiddy
Again, like 86, the Col Du Granon has proven pivotal in the tour.STILL another 10 stages to go!
kiddy
When Big Mig bonked, it was in the last mountain stage, that cost him tour no.6, & he said "it only takes one bad day".We're only halfway through this tour.Any thoughts of Pogacar pulling this out the fire, would class him alongside Lazarus & Landis.
hearthammer
Great spectacle today with the twists and turns (literally on various parts of the course) matched by the climbs, especially the final one, making it a fantastic armchair day of genuine sport. Chapeau to all involved. ps, i sincerely hope that none of the protagonists are found to have the chemical equivalent of an electric assistance for their bikes in their system once the race is finished. Sarto Mutiny
What a fascinating stage that was. Pogacar is human after all. Who knew?
Gnash
Fantastic stage. What a ride by Vingegaard, what a surprising collapse by Pogacar. Surprisingly good performance from Quintana as well, and Thomas and Yates held up well too. 2 hours ago, kiddy said: Any thoughts of Pogacar pulling this out the fire, would class him alongside Lazarus & Landis. Not sure about that, I would still class him as favourite. One bad stage doesn't mean he's done, especially as I suspect the high altitude was a factor. But it makes it so exciting for the rest of the tour!
