Bahrain Victorious Fred Wright takes the British RR title, from Wuickstep Soudal’s James Knox & Israel Premiertech’s Steve Williams.

Then is selected by his team for the TdF.

Carapaz & Mas race is done before the end of stage 1. Both crash about 20 kms out, Mas looks concussed, Carapaz back on a bike but his knee looks in some mess. Both will ship serious time if they finish. Carapaz 5.21 down already. Mas abandons.

UAE just laying the cards on the table with a plan A & B for GC. JV have all their eggs in the Vingegaard basket.

Tables turned from last year? With respect to  Roglic & Vingegaard working Pogacar over on stage 11 on the Col Du Granon

Really enjoyed that.  Well done Adam Yates.  Not sure he's really a GC option for UAE, assuming Pogacar stays in, but whatever happens from here it's been a successful Tour for Adam.

I think today's stage confirmed the 2 horse race.

Watched the highlights & thought everything went perfectly for Hindley/Bora. His conservative ride today, using the companions in the break, right until the final 1.5 km of the final climb, appeared a master stroke.

Whilst Vingegaard invested heavily trying to haul him in & distance Pogacar, only to cede all the bonus seconds up for grabs. Tomorrow might show how heavily he went into the red, trying to drive the chase with little help from his group.

Pogacar, meanwhile, showed where he was on his return from the wrist break. Unable to follow the Dane & trying to limit his loses, his hopes surely look to be getting into the 3rd week & still being in touch as he try’s to find top form.

Could both have made a major mistake in letting a Giro winner a healthy lead, without committing to much in exertion?

Just gutted I missed it live, as it looked to be the best stage in a GT since Froome’s ride to Bardonnechia.
