wishyman
Good to see Idlewild back on the scene. Doing a British tour in the summer.
Miguel Sanchez
My Twilight Sad ticket came yesterday (finally) and it says on it I need photo ID with it, which I've never had on a ticket before. What are we talking here? - passport, student card, anything in particular I shouldn't rely on?

What are we talking here? - passport, student card, anything in particular I shouldn't rely on?For what it’s worth it’s quite a common thing, in the view that it clamps down on touts selling the tickets on (since their name will be on the ticket). However, anytime I’ve been warned to bring ID, I’ve never been asked for it. Any photo ID should do, just to be safe.

GrahamJags
White Denim were absolutely unreal last night. First time in the Galvanizers Yard venue at SWG3 and it’s miles better than the godawful TV Studio.

Seems a bit of a daft idea to stop touts really, just inconveniencing most of the legit buyers. Just got an email to say The Beth's have been moved to the Garage in case anyone missed out on tix, I was expecting a venue change when they sold out so quickly but hoped it might stay at Broadcast, not a big fan of the Garage.

The message on the ticket says word for word "Lead booker must present photo ID to gain entry", so I'm assuming you and your mates all have to turn up at the same time.
The Naitch
Meant to mention that Chvrches at the Hydro on Saturday night was a cracking gig. Going to try getting tickets for their Edinburgh gig during the summer now.

Christophe
Sleeper at The Garage next month is next for me. Possibly adding SWMRS at St. Luke’s before that with Kid A, dependent on work rota.

carpetmonster
Just found out the Beths are playing the same night as the Fannies. Arse. Twilight Sad in a 350 capacity venue in May should be fun.
Yoss
Estrons gigs next month have been cancelled because they've just split up. Which is a pity.

I'd go with the Fannies.

They didn't last long, their debut album is barely 4 months old.

Yeah, though they'd been kicking around for quite a while before that. 4 minutes ago, Rovers2017 said: Let's Eat Grandma were... interesting. They are indeed ... interesting. I totally respect what they're doing, messing around, experimenting with stuff and seeing what comes out, and I'm interested to see where it's going to lead them. But inevitably the results in the meantime are a bit patchy. They've done the odd thing I've really liked, but it's hit and miss - and probably more miss than hit at the moment.
