Was in the top tier at Usher Hall for The Waterboys last night and obviously in front of us were a group of coked up weegies who turned up 10 minuites late, wouldn't stop talking and playing on their phones.

Noticed that in the Grand Circle there was a few free seats so treated ourselves to a free upgrade away from the reprobates for the second set, once this was done it was a really enjoyable gig.

Why can people not be complete arseholes when going to gigs?

"It's rock n roll........because it's rock n roll.........cuz we'ur ladz n that".....................all joking aside, I don't get it either and it p's me right off!!

Sisters of Mercy at ‚the Capitol‘ in Hannover last Monday. A bit Meh in all honesty. No audience interaction whatsoever. One of the few gigs that I‘ve left before the encore. A friend who‘d seen them in London recently, had mentioned it would be mince, unfortunately she was right.

I was at the second London show, where they went pretty deep into their catalogue. I thought it was great as I've seen the "A set" a couple of times before, but I heard a few grumbles from people who were at their first National gig and were expecting all the favourites.

I did have a giggle when I saw the setlist and thought of that. Half the crowd raging, the other half giddy.

“Seen them” a few years back at the ABC in Glasgow. The smoke machine was used to liberally that I didn’t actually see anyone on stage. Interesting evening.

Tenacious D are touring in May again, playing the Hydro on the 9th. There was a presale access through their website or general sale is Friday I think.
If they'd announced this earlier I could've saved money going down to London in June but hey I got to go to a new venue and some nice pictures of statues and a stupidly expensive building. 🙃 Already got standing for next year, hopefully make barrier this time

I’m going for quality over quantity this month. Just Deacon Blue at the Hydro on the 14th to look forward to.

We're off to see them at the usher Hall next Wednesday.  Also just bought tickets for the bbc radio 2 sounds of the 80s with Gary davies next May at the 02 In Edinburgh.

Another +1 for New Order. Not my generation at all, mainly went to see Confidence Man but thought New Order were excellent. Lights show was great as well. And about 10% of the crowd wankers/phone up the entire gig sorta folk as I've seen lately!

Had never heard of Confidence Man (i'm too old) but really enjoyed them.

I was literally first in the door for New Order and agree with everything. Confidence Man wasn't my thing but they were very good. The stage seemed really high but we (just) got a decent view of everything.

One complaint I had was the sound - it seemed to be all over the place from song to song. One minute it's fine then the next one Phil's guitar starts and it's twice as loud as everything else. I can't speak for all of the crowd but it definitely seemed er... of a certain demographic. Maybe that led to the lack of phones.

I filmed the whole thing though and it'll be on youtube soon enough.

I don’t understand why people spend a great deal of money to attend a music gig then spend the majority of the time watching it via a mobile phone which invariably fcuks off people around them who are quite happy to keep their phone on their pocket.

Some more random ticket highlights from my collection/folder, yay!

First time out the country myself. Second night at the newly opened Wembley Stadium and filmed for their DVD. Opening acts were a small Scottish band called Biffy Clyro and My Chemical Romance who were on their Black Parade Tour.

I don't even care about credibility. It was The Best Damn Thing tour and she was nice and small. Came to the lil barrier at the back of the Academy and signed tickets for everyone. Just don't think she's came back since 😢

First guitar pick/plectrum I got. Actually found on the floor of the SECC as I was leaving. Says "Frank Iero Fun Ghoul" on the other side. Danger Days tour in 2011.

First setlist I got. I'd already seen The Blackout before and didn't like them, but they supported My Chem at the above date and I finally "got" it. Now seen them 8 times with a 9th booked for next year. This was from a matinee show they did in King Tut's in 2013. They also did an evening show. I went to both.

Got this setlist from Fräulein when they supported Be Your Own Pet a few weeks back. Think it's the first bit of memorabilia I've had in this vein since I was a teenager.

I was in the 2nd back row of the upper sections and the sound was fine apart from 'True Faith".
