I think Twitter have been evaluating what a blue tick ‘means’ and the kind of message it gives i.e. some people might view a verified account as some form of endorsement from Twitter themselves. Tbf that’s not the best excuse for them, I think everyone would understand if they just admitted that they think Tommy Robinson is a c**t. Some alt right halfwit known as Baked Alaska (me neither) not only had his blue tick removed, but also has been banned from Twitter. His reaction? A nine hour tantrum.
