marty_j
Details of the new Maiden album have been released - http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/iron-maiden-to-release-the-book-of-souls-double-album-in-september/ Lots of 10 minutes+ songs for those who love their epic tunes. Wish they'd write more immediate ones again a la Aces High, Trooper, I like a long Maiden song but not so many on an album. 18 minutes for one!! That said one of my top Maiden releases, A Matter Of Life and Death had a few long ones but 7-8 minutes only. I didn't get Final Frontier at all but hopefully this is a return to form. Glad Bruce is recovering.

George Parr
f**k me this is some line up... Excellent lineup but why do some metal bands make their name so difficult to read!? Edited June 23, 2015 by Consolidate

NorthernLights
Looks like the Special Guests TBA for the Barrowlands is Napalm Death since that is the line up for similar dates in London and Manchester that have been announced. The Audio gigs is a nice touch.

NorthernLights
Does anyone listen to any metal podcasts? I used to listen to the Metal Hammer one and enjoyed it but they stopped that a while ago and I've yet to find one to replace it.
Derek Patterson
Not strictly metal but the Rock and roll geek show is good stuff. That said, if you prefer a professional sounding host it's probably best to give it a miss..... *opens a fine Tecate* "Aaaaaaaggggghhhhhh"

NorthernLights
So you have Manson on the 22nd, Clutch on the 23rd, Priest on the 24th and Slayer/Anthrax on the 25th all playing Glasgow. Tempted by Priest as I already have that week booked off for Slayer and Manson. Edited June 29, 2015 by NorthernLights

NorthernLights
Just had a look on Ticketmaster and the ticket price for Judas Priest is £44.10 (£38.50 Ticket + £5.60 Fees) .
Mik
Just had a look on Ticketmaster and the ticket price for Judas Priest is £44.10 (£38.50 Ticket + £5.60 Fees) . The prices are becoming ridiculous. £45 for a Barras/Academy gig is a joke.
NorthernLights
The prices are becoming ridiculous. £45 for a Barras/Academy gig is a joke. Bought a ticket through O2 Priority yesterday morning. You can then add an extra £5.50 for postage as secure postage was the only option available so it was £49.60 for one ticket
marty_j
I fancied going along to Slayer/Anthrax but no way I am paying that. Those are Hydro/SECC prices surely. Thats before Factoring in a 200 mile round trip and spends.
