Red Sox owners to buy Liverpool

Are Liverpool fans really this thick/gullible?

One set of American chancers are ousted: being replaced by another set of potential American chancers. Their promises are, in some cases even in the actual wording, pretty much identical to the previous lot.

So cue chanting, cheering, lauding the new boys?

Difference is one was voted the worst owner in American sports and the others the best. They would have to be fucking stupid to do the same things when it's just cost the previous owners 140m. Unless they like losing money.

All completed now. Can't be any worse

It's not a leveraged buyout unlike Hicks and Gillett's and the Glazer's for that matter. NESV have paid for the deal with their own money.

That means that the £240M debt has been paid off and the £770,000 weekly interest to the bank goes as well.

Like most, I will treat them with caution at first though.

Oh aye, Hicks loses.

Edit :- By the way, I wouldn't even wish a week to anyone, even United supporters. That was fucking torture.

Watching the interview just now. It was never about getting the right buyer for the club, it was about getting the most money. If he cares so much (or if he ever cared about the club) why is he suing for around £1 billion?

Baffling, pure baffling.

They need to get rid of Hogdson, he is way out of his depth.

It's surprising that two excellent businessmen like Hicks and Gillett have managed to f**k this up so much, massively out of pocket and everyone hates them. Poor show.

Were you keeping them on a piece of paper or something?

Don't you log in automatically anyway?

No, I was logged in automatically whenever I accessed P&B, however, I logged out and forgot my password. I couldn't remember the email address that I had used to sign up with, or the password for that either.

To be fair, it isn't quite that simple. When a club is reported to be paying 10 million that all doesn't go to the other club. Once you take off agents fees, the cut the player takes, legal costs and then taxes you'll probably be looking at only 7-8 million. And that is without going into the mire of 'clauses' and 'add ons'.

But yeah, still not near £250m.

I'm not surprised he is making a big fuss over this, everyone already hates him so it's not as if he cares about public opinion, he just wants to recoup his losses/make some more money.

Uh no, if you sell a player for 10 million you don't receive the 10 million but if you buy a player for 10 million that 10 million does leave the club even if it all doesn't go to one party...

you fucktard.

You said it.
