It may be he's come back a little heavier than he was supposed to, or hasn't stuck to his plan that all the players are given. We signed him because he looked a cracking prospect and since then he has improved hugely since moving to full time training in January. Badly needs a goal, even in a friendly.I don't think anything can be read on friendlies albeit the Ajax one can...!!They are simply for fitness and I could name 20+ players who have looked wow pre season and the season starts and the wow is a distant memory. The real business end is close by to judge him thanks to our governing body making the known Mickey mouse cup live up to its name.
