Durnan out as well? Thought he pulled something that’s why he came off the other night. If he is that would mean either Mercer at right back or Leitch in midfield with Alston [emoji23]. Grim stuff.

Probably the best we can hope for with the injuries we have. It will be interesting to see if Connolly is involved at all today 🤔

A lot rides on Connolly being brought back in from the cold. If we can start him instead of fotheringham we just might have an attack that is capable of winning the odd game out of the next 4

Connolly will undoubtedly be on the bench for a wee while before he gets a start unfortunately.  If we hadn't wasted a loan on Fotheringham and had actually brought in a player ready to play at this level then things would look at least a wee bit better. Serious questions need asked of Holt and the bod on what the feck our strategy was in the window. We brought in a bunch of kids although none of them actually play in the position where we are crying out for younger players.

Do these players not feckin realise they are only a few weeks away from having no job and in the current climate it's not going to be easy getting another one. You'd think they be trying like bears for new contracts at least.

I’m not for a minute slating Fotheringham but let’s compare. We have been playing Fotheringham wide left mostly and Partick signed Tiffoney who is now playing wide left in a 4-4-2 formation. He has something like 6 goals and 5 assists since joining. That one signing , coupled with Rudden hitting form, has been the difference.

If only we had someone at the club previously at Livingston who could have been aware of Tiffoney.

And Jack Hamilton .....

If you were at Livingston and you were aware of the clearly limited coaching abilities of Miller, would you want your players going to him?

One thing that’s as obvious as the nose on your face m, whoever the new manager is they will have to recruit 100x better. That is what makes or breaks a manager.

Will be Holt recruiting. Id hope the manager has the final say but the dof should be providing him with the options.

Our last attempt at "giving a try" ended up the biggest feck up in the clubs history and will likely consign us to another season in this tinpot league, if the guy has decent credentials then fair enough but we need to be more professional than just giving somebody else a "try".

We have to be realistic that the Managers job at FFC is not the desirable gig it once was.

What attracted managers is no longer on the table.

No ! record of loyalty to managers.

No ! youth set up

No! quality in the squad

No! trust in the directors

It will be a case of prospective managers interviewing the Football Club.

Let’s flip the argument though:

- the club are committed to starting a new development squad with the view of an academy.

- the club have received serious investment from someone who has a track record of success in football.

- we are likely to have the best budget in the league next season if we are still in League 1. The majority of the squad are out of contract meaning they have a blank canvas.

- we are at our floor (I hope) with the only direction we are likely to go is up. The manager who achieves this will be held in high regard. I think most competent managers would succeed in this league given our budget and coupled with our current downward spiral it will look impressive on paper.

IMO, we are a very attractive option for a manager looking to improve their reputation.

It's a great job for anyone with some confidence in their own ability.  4000 fans every other week a very competitive budget and superb facilities.
