MrDust
He has decided to go down south. Thats pish.....England game it is then.... tonites team- FALKIRK: Bowman, Finlayson, Gallacher, Blues, McCracken, Dick, Cooper, Blair, O'Hara, Shepherd, Grant I can only think its money or dithering about....TBH if it looked like he would improve us we shouldnt be making him wait and expect trial games before signing, that maybe fine in youth players for the development squad but a 23/24 yr old shouldnt be put through that
BottiBiabi
He has decided to go down south. Club should of offered him something when he was interested in signing. Extremely poor by Falkirk
Andreas Kelevra
If Ayina was any good, why didn't Houston sign him right away? Must have had doubts about him. So since January - the strikers Houston has signed are Bob McHugh and Lee Miller and Miller appeared to be signed in last resort panic measure kind of a way, otherwise why wasn't he signed earlier to get him up to speed and help the squad. We are basically hoping we can keep games tight and sneak a goal this season - we are guarenteed that this season will be a repeat of last year.

He looked more of a winger than Striker on the videos I watched, looked decent tho

MrDust
It will be money first last always. Players think about little else. To think otherwise is naive It will still be a part factor, but its now September where his expectation of X will become Y or Z because as it stands its more than zero. Im sure Lee Miller wouldve been easy to deal with, considering he was on the zero currency and sat on a Livvy bench as a trialist. Hopefully we have other irons in the fire as I aint confident or have excitement with a Shepherd, Miller, McHugh and Baird scoring many goals
ShaggerG
Typical fuckin Falkirk! I think we're now stuck with the strikers we've got and tbh I don't think they'll get 10 goals between them. I just don't think there's enough goals in the team to get us into a decent position as things stand.
gav-ffc
Fook him. Being the third club in Scotland he's been at so far and no deal for him he can do one as far as I am aware. O'Hara should get a chance before we spunk money on someone who doesn't want to be here. I for one can't wait to see the next bunch of academy players to come through, Gallagher, finlyson, Blair blues and ohara.

hope street
Under 20's official match report Falkirk FC Hamilton_Academical_FC SEPTEMBER 8, 2015, 7:00 PM Falkirk 3 3 Hamilton Accies The Falkirk Stadium Under 20 MATCH REPORT The Bairns headed into Tuesday night’s Development League match looking to make amends for last week’s defeat when on the road to Partick Thistle. Alan Maybury drafted in David McCracken along with a host of first team squad players including Scott Shepherd, Alex Copper and Ryan Blair. Both sides failed to create any chances of note in what was a very tight opening few minutes. It was a cagey affair with both sides passing and probing, but ultimately failing to break the deadlock. Accies were first to threaten with Eamon Brophy cutting inside and curling an effort into the palms of Graham Bowman from wide right of the 18 yard box. The young striker had another opportunity on 17 minutes when again he cut inside before firing an effort towards goal. Bowman palmed clear but only into the path of Steven Boyd whose acrobatic strike was held by the keeper’. Falkirk fought back and had an opportunity through Scott Shepherd who just failed to get on the end of an Alex Cooper cross. Then the deadlock was broken through a goal that Alan Maybury would have been disappointed to lose. GREG DOCHERTY got away from his man to bullet home a free header from a corner. Graham Bowman was left with no chance, but ultimately the defenders in front of him should have done better. The Bairns fought back and replied almost instantly through CAMERON BLUES. The captain picked the ball up on the edge of the box before firing a volley towards goal which was deflected off a Hamilton defender and into the back of the net. It was the perfect response from the Bairns who looked to ensure they restored parity as quickly as possible. Things got even better for Alan Maybury’s men just moments later as they took the lead. Ben Reilly fouled Alex Cooper in the box leaving referee, Steven Reid with no choice but to point to the spot. RYAN BLAIR stepped up for the second time in a week to slam his spot kick home and send the Bairns into the break a goal to the good. HALF TIME: FALKIRK 2-1 HAMILTON ACC. The Bairns’ lead didn’t last long with EAMON BROPHY finishing well past Graham Bowman to pull the scores level once again. It was a game Falkirk would have felt they were having the better of, yet Hamilton looked just as capable of scoring on the break. As the second half wore on Falkirk began to dominated and had several good chances to retake and extend the lead. David McCracken was allowed a free header from a corner which was destined for the back of the net had it not been for the fingertips of Alan Martin who did brilliantly to save. McCracken was involved again moments later as his header back across goal from another corner was hooked clear by the Accies defence with several Falkirk players lurking in and around the 18 yard box. With twenty minutes to play it was looking like it might just take something special to produce a winner and Alex Cooper came extremely close to providing it. The tricky winger looked to have rounded Alan Martin around twenty yards from goal, however he was pushed wide by the Accies defence out to an extremely wide angle at the edge of the 18 yard box. With the keeper’ backpedalling and the top corner gaping he curled a sublime effort which cannoned back off the post. A sensational attempt which almost produced the goods. Falkirk did eventually take the lead. The ball was whipped in from wide right and was met by the head of KEVIN O’HARA who ghosted in at the back post to bullet a diving header past Alan Martin in the Accies’ goal. Just as it looked like Falkirk were going to gain their first three points of the season Accies player/manager, Martin Canning nut-megged a Falkirk defender, turned the other before chipping Graham Bowman. A fantastic goal and not one that was not expected from the experienced centre-back. FULL TIME: FALKIRK 3-3 HAMILTON ACC. FALKIRK: Bowman, Finlayson, Gallacher, Blues, McCracken, Dick (Johnson 86), Cooper, Blair, O’Hara, Shepherd, Grant (Langton 70) Subs not used: McMinn, Mitchell. Stowe, Evans, Dunne HAMILTON: Martin, Reilly, Hughes, Want, Canning, Lyon, Docherty, Redmond, Brophy, Boyd, Mikita SUBS: Simpson, Kelly, Grainger, Tierney, Cunningham, Scullion, Marshall Fiery-Friday-web-footer
Shadwell Dog
Surely the first thing you should say to any player before a trial is what kind of deal are you looking for to see whether its a goer or not. What is the point of taking a look at a guy and then finding out his wage demands aren't acceptable. Honestly Houstons attempts at bringing in a decent striker have been pitiful. We're no better a team this season than last .

ToonBairn
Sounds like the player and his agent have been playing games with us over the last week or 2, therefore maybe a good thing we've dodged this one. As previously mentioned, he clearly doesn't want to be with us so we move on to someone else
Ranaldo Bairn
In what respect? In a "desperately trying to turn Marshmallo's insult against himself, and failing" kind of way.
Shadwell Dog
I'll eat Paddy Ashdown's hat live on BT sport if there is a fourth stand built. Wonder what will happen first.New fourth stand or new striker signed by Houston? Toughie! Edited September 9, 2015 by Shadwell Dog
