Shadwell Dog
Some people unfortunately seem to forget that falkirk fc did exist pre the john hughes management era.

Anthony Fitzgerald
Question; is Farid a legend or a cult hero?
Bigbri
He had the ability to get the usually dead stadium buzzing. It is the only time I have seen the new stadium come to life. His celebrations and his encouraging the South Stand to get behind the team were just what was needed. We need players like that as they give life to a usually dead crowd Sent from my iPad using Pie & Bovril
Guest
I take it you'd not have Stainrod up there BPM?Totally different.Of course I would but he had a much more long term impact on Falkirk. Up until he signed it had been the best part of 20 years since the club enthused the support. He was the catalyst for that. Bluegrass Bairn
Some people unfortunately seem to forget that falkirk fc did exist pre the john hughes management era.[/quote Yeah, it is all about opinions but I do agree with BPM that the overall balance on the murals was for me a bit too weighted towards more modern era players, and some relatively short-term ones at that. Personally would like to have seen more recognition for the Markie Gibson Shirra Hoggan Watson Nicol type of long serving stalwarts - but sure, find space for big impact guys like Farid too.
Ranaldo Bairn
Make some new ones for the Main Stand then. I think there was actually an issue with getting decent enough images to be scaled up to 50 feet tall.
Crawford Baptie
Farid to some younger Bairns nowadays will be what Stainrod was to me as a 10 year old.
Shadwell Dog
Stainrod played in the top flight in England scoring 21 goals for Villa in one season as well as playing for the likes of QPR and Sheff Wed. Farid is no more than a journeyman who struggled to get a game for a league one side. Whilst both were fans favourites the gap between them as footballers is massive. Marshmallo
Yeah it was an extreme example I'd picked out re length of service - I love Farid but he's not in the same bracket as Stainrod. -

Which makes absolutely no difference me as a Falkirk fan. Stainrod is way ahead of Farid but as has been previously mentioned, Farid will be to some younger fans, what Stainrod is to my generation. How each player was away from the club makes no difference in the slightest. Before Farid came, the fans and the club were as far apart as I can remember in recent years. His goals, effort and attitude played no small part in helping bridge that gap. Edited November 10, 2015 by MattBairn

Guest
Make some new ones for the Main Stand then. I think there was actually an issue with getting decent enough images to be scaled up to 50 feet tall. The images were not the issue once they got them. The guys took a long time to consider who would be on them. These things are not cheap. They are made from a material which allows air to flow through so they don't blow away and the fitting is a pretty specialist job. ( a team of people from Cambridge came up to do the SS). To do the main stand properly you won't get much change from 20k

Ned Nederlander
If we're asking for suggestions I'll nominate Stevie Logan - cracking player who put in many a magnificent performance at Brockville, the fact that none of them were when he was a Falkirk player is a wee side issue. Still the most excited I've ever been about a signing. Edited November 10, 2015 by Ned Nederlander
