Dee Man
I took F45 up on their offer of a free week trial and just had my last class today. My word. Recommended for anyone who 'enjoys' high intensity circuit training.
++Ammo - Airdrie++
I use treadmills a lot. Life is pretty busy just now with work, the kids and just general stuff that I’m happy to have the treadmill in the house to knock out a 20 minute run I can honestly say that hiring that treadmill for the past 3 weeks has definitely aided in my recovery. I'm not allowed to run but 20-25 minute walks a day at 5 kmph has defo eased it off.Couple of times though I've felt my knee kind of "jar" and had a wee wobble but nothing major.Enjoy just firing up something on Netflix on the phone and having a stroll, without going out the house

Having been unable to run the length of my shadow for years, it seemed pretty daunting but there are decent subreddit and facebook groups for support. An audiobook to listen to and it's actually fairly enjoyable. I've done a fair bit of swimming in the past and my fear of running I think is just poor pace control/running too fast. Feeling pretty determined to complete the 9 weeks (even if it's running at a slow pace). Good on you! I find running is really satisfying once you start to make progress, which happens quickly if you stick at it! Last year I got my 5km time down from 26:00 mins to 19:30 mins over the course of the year running one 5km every one or two weeks (and losing about 1.5 stone along the way!).

That's almost a walk of legends Philpy, if only you'd included some of Great Junction St/Duke St it'd ideal.

philpy
That's planned already. Could Always finish the walk off with a hotdog from the wee stall at the kirkgate [emoji23]

Na, I just did their 4 week challenge to see what it was all about. I enjoyed it but there's no way I was paying what they wanted plus the intensity wasn't enough I thought - too much time between exercises at times. F45 was hardcore but I won't be paying them what they're asking for either. Probably isn't too bad value but I can't justify that and a gym membership. Hoping to build my own little gym this year so I can keep all my hard earned for myself.

RH33
I started with a PT this week. My mental health been shite for last year and I’ve gained a lot of weight. Expensive way to do it but I see it as a kick start and routine building.

Best of luck with it! I’ve done it all myself in past but wasn’t happening this time. Walking kids to school in morning and back to the house knocks out 5000 steps. Better weather makes this easier too as it’s easy jump in car and drop them. It’s about 1.2 miles to their school.

Bairnardo
Mind we had the chat about whether or not you should correct someones deadlifting form.... Where do we stand on telling the fucking morons who go for max incline on the treadmill then hold on to the handles and lean back that they are wasting their time, and that they are very stupid?

Looking for a little advice myself. I seem to have plateaued on weight in a few areas. For example, my bench press has been stuck at 65kg max for about a month now despite working on my chest at least once a week. I don’t think I’m just doing shite workouts. I am always by myself so maybe suffer that I don’t push the weights too high and end up with a barbell stuck on my throat. But any advice on how to push it up a bit? Not just bench press but in general.

Maybe go to short sets of big heavy weights?
