Loki season 2 out a week tomorrow (5th)

Be interesting to see where they take this now, marvel getting it tight for how boring phase 5 has been so far, but given loki season 1 opened up the means to phase 5, surely they have big plans coming soon

I'm not up to speed with the Marvel phases, but I did enjoy the first series of Loki. Basically a Doctor Who rip off but well executed.

Given the ending, have they pretty much written him out of the whole MCU now?

Would have guessed the opposite with him now being the biggest defence against all the Kang variants, and anyone else rubbing their hands/tentacles/other worldly limbs at the prospect of ruling the multiverse.

Can't say I know much about it, but there is a comic run where Loki is the God of Stories, which I think will see him playing at least some part in one of the Avengers films.

Seemingly Hiddleston has said his Loki journey is complete and people are thinking he believes his time is finished as the god of mischief

Shame if so as he plays the part so well

The fact there was no end credits etc is evidence also apparently, they didnt want to detract from the characters final bow (like in endgame)

Went to see The Marvels today. The post credit scene is indeed very interesting and by far the best bit of the film.

The movie itself is pretty terrible. Probably my least favourite Marvel effort so far.

I preferred it to Eternals, but that is not really a compliment

Aw man...

Can anyone give me a glimmer of hope for this film? I'm being dragged along.

Sadly not, I’m afraid. There’s always the each to their own principle. For example, unlike @Mark Connolly, I actually enjoyed The Eternals. However, even with that taken into account the film seems to miss on just about every basis.

The plot and how it develops is horrendous. That’s the greatest shame as there’s an interesting story to tell leading into Deadpool 3. You can tell Sam Jackson is just phoning it in. The cgi is not the worst of the Marvel franchises but still pretty poor. The humour never lands. The villain is shite and underdeveloped. The whole thing is just a bit of a mess of random scenes thrown together with increasingly tenuous links to each one. The sequence before the end of the film is one of the most lazy and ridiculous that I’ve seen in quite a long time. It’s boring as f**k.

Other than that, you should enjoy yourself!

They've got plenty of ways to introduce someone else in the role, including simply ignoring the change of actor ala Rhodes/War Machine.

They have a multiverse so not difficult to make up some pish about why Kang doesn't look the same (although that scene at the end credits of Ant Man: Quantumania won't help!).

They could do worse than retcon guardians 3 to make the high evolutionary a kang variant and use that actor, i thought he was pretty damn good in that role
