Horrific club photos

Recommended Posts

The two pubs were a wee tiny place, kind of rasta painted with a pool table down a wee flight of stairs and the other place (where the biggest queue was) was basically the Trades. Pretty nice boozer but filled with jakes (not us). One boy went to the urinal, dropped his trousers to his ankles and had a piss.

Ash bar and the market.

Ash bar is a "rock" pub and has paintings of kurt cobain etc on the walls.

We decided to take in the Montrose/Elgin game in December after we discovered our game in Brechin was postponed en route (we were on the train to Montrose from Dundee to get the bus from Montrose to Brechin). We got in to Montrose before 11 and decided drinks were in order. We waited in the Picture House until we could get served then had a couple before moving up the street to the aforementioned Ash for a beer. We decided to fire up Main Street to see what bars there were. We found Steeplejacks and piled on in (down a strange wee alley). It had Grolsch on tap on a glorious selection of shots. We had some pints and many shots whilst watching Hibs pump Sevco 4-0 (those were the days eh!) before stumbling back to the Picture House to meet a couple of mates who had come up.

We had a pretty enjoyable mini Montrose crawl. Steeplejacks is highly recommended. Oh and Elgin won 2-3. And the cans of fruit cider I hid under the bridge at the station were still there when we got back.
