Next match is home to Wolves on Boxing Day. Lose that...

Another side sitting at the bottom of the table rolls up at Goodison and exits with 3 points.

Score first, still lose.

After the FA Cup draw, all that's left to play for is to avoid the drop. It's not even December...

Manchester City (A)

Brighton & Hove Albion (H)

Southampton (H)

West Ham United (A)

Not too many points there.

90 minutes of defending the 18-yard box with a moment of magic from Gray. Away to Man City almost suits Lampard more than, for example, Wolves at home. It was a pretty solid performance

0-4 at home to Brighton. Brighton with 4 shots on target. 30 minutes to go...

Surely Lampard has to be punted?

Surely can't survive this, can he?

But then who?

Club needs redd out from top to bottom.

And I don't think DF is the answer, either.

Everton 1 Brighton & Hove Albion 4

You know, if the last two results had been the other way round, i.e. 4-1 City and 1-1 tonight, it would have been a shrug of the shoulders and an "oh. well".

Pochettino? Before Ancelotti (or maybe Benitez) was appointed, I was hoping that Everton would have looked at him.

Just as long as it isn't Marco fucking Silva. I've still got the emotional scars from his time at Goodison.

The club really does need gutted from top to bottom.

This is more important than whichever lamb they choose to be slaughtered after Lampard

I agree with this, unfortunately it wasn't.

Third bottom, as Forest, Wolves and West Ham all picked up away points, in Forest's case 3. Next up, home to bottom placed Southampton. The last two teams who fetched up at Goodison in last place waltzed off with 3 points...

I don't know much about the situation at board level for Everton but the club is a complete basket case at the moment. They've have spent absolutely millions the past few years and achieved nothing. I think Everton are going down this season and it could be years before they come back up. I don't know much about their finances and how much money they have behind them but if they do go down I wouldn't be surprised to see them languishing in the Championship for a long time.
