Ayrforce1
Why would you hold 'recriminations' over the club's best placing for a generation, four points from surpassing the hallowed 95-96 side's tally? Nothing to see here champ(s). ^^^^verge of tears^^^^ Unlucky.

Scary Bear
Whatever you want to do to deflect from a straightforward question. Answer: Probably because second place is nowhere. Especially when you're paying out decent money. Happy? The recriminations will start when Dougie rounds on your midget big-eared manager and asks him what he's wasted all his sweetie money on this year. This probably won't happen for a couple of games, until there aren't enough points left to play for and the season really is over, for definite. Wonka's given the manager a decent budget and allowed him to sign players who've been over the course, yet it all appears to have gone pear-shaped.

At no point in this season has the league title been Morton's minimum objective, unlike Dundee during the Melville period. Second place is indeed something compared to multiple years in the bottom half, at the end of Moore's so-called 'three year plan' and Rae will have absolutely no issues with Morton's performances over the season. It's highly probable that he'll offer Moore a new deal and given Moore won't be facing SPL sides every week, is more than up to the task. In short, you're talking complete and utter drivel. Too late for the gif option as well. Edited April 10, 2013 by vikingTON

sergie's no1 fan
So assuming Morton now don't go up whats the plan? Can players like Hardie and McLaughlin last another season? Will MacDonald sign on again? Will Tidser stay for another season in the First? Will Moore stay on? Whats the script with Dougie Wonka he has been hinting towards part time football for a couple of years now? In my opinion i think Morton had to go up this season if you wanted to keep your best players. It is a job of maybe 2-3 years to build towards a title push and the young players with a bit of potential will give it a shot and if they continue to develop and the club falls short they will move on. Would loved to have seen the derby games in the SPL but it looks like whenever we do meet it will be in div1.

GiGi
^^ cares more about Morton losing than St Mirren winning. More posts in this forum than the SPL one. If that's not obsessed I dunno what is.

robbie bobson
Despite that defeat tonight, we have had our best season for years and I have enjoyed every minute of it. Our squad have put in a great effort and have unfortunately fallen short late in the season. But How long will it be until we can realistically do it again? It is very possible that this was Dougie's season to go for the SPL and spend a little extra money. And how has he been rewarded, 1500 and 1700 at our last two home games. Those two crowds combined almost would have been roughly how many we took to Thistle tonight, but every penny of that goes into Partick's pockets. The support is clearly still there as tonight showed, but as a club we can't afford to have consistent attendances of under 2000. I think we need a big crowd on Saturday to prove to Rae that the support is still there, otherwise it could be back to mediocrity next season. Despite that, its been a great season and the players and management have done us all proud, taking us to our highest finish in years.
