Anyone see Michael Johnston's latest this morning in the Retard on the Sky deal. It's predictable stuff but then it ends with "Johnston will vote to admit the Rangers newco into the SPL because he believes they have been punished enough" but stops short of supplying a direct quote from him saying that. I know it's no surprise given his previous statements. If I was a Killie fan I'd be letting him know that I will be walking away from his team. Punished enough! Dearie me.

Fixtures are out on Monday, what a shambles.

Season starts in little over a month and certain teams are still in the dark over what League they'll be in.

Utter, utter shambles. It's been said time and again however if this was any other team bar sellick, they would've been punted out the top flight already.

It's only been the middle of this week that it was clear that they wouldn't be continuing in or exiting admin. In practice they haven't applied for a transfer of share yet either, and no Newco decision will be made beforeMonday, so it makes sense to go ahead and issue the fixtures. If ultimately they are punted, teams can take over the fixtures of the club stepping-up above, as happened with Livingston.

If a transfer of share/membership goes ahead, it likely achieves footballing continuity both in terms of honours and punishments.

Such a transfer will likely see Rangers fans, lot of the media, and the footballing authorities call them the same 'football entity'... but that should apply to liability for offences as much as to the concept of historical continuity.

I think that is pretty accurate of the majority of Rangers fans. Sorry but there is little i can do to change that. As for myself...You couldn't be more wrong. I am not going to go find the posts throughout Pie and Bovril but i have consistently said it would be worth a couple of trophyless years just to rid Ibrox of the glory hunters and the supporters who only came back after 1986.

I don't want to lord it over all in Scottish football. I want to be part of something that improves Scottish Football from the bottom up. I want to see league reconstruction..a pyramid system. This season we will have both ICT and Ross County both in the SPL. Surely they are proof that the pyramid system would work.

I want the money spread more evenly amongst the clubs. Not just in the SPL but across the whole of the game. I want to see people coming back to watch the football on the terraces and not sit at home watching the EPL or La Liga.

What i don't agree with is trying to kill clubs off in a hope that your own club will prosper in some way. My thoughts on that are easy to find. There was talk of Rangers doing that to Airdrie and i made my views perfectly clear.

All this talk about the same footballing entity, let's get something right, in the eyes of UEFA they are not the same footballing entity, they are a new entity otherwise they could apply to enter European competition on the club accounts which would transfer to the new company along with the club. What is transferring is not the club it's the assets of a dead club, including the name.

Being pedantic, again, but why should a team called Rangers (cos TTFKAR is deid) be included in the SPL fixture list, when issued. The team which was Rangers no longer exists, therefore logically, can't participate, and no other team with Rangers in their name is a member of the SPL, so the Fixture List must be issued with Team X as the 12th team.

that's all I needed to hear. Glad we are in agreement on the main thrust of my point. I say 'you' as in the Rangers support en masse. It'll be ugly, because the No Surrender brigade will be the loudest, most voiciferous, and most noticeable group of (The) Rangers supporters in the post-Wattie era.

Assuming the Team Cardigan chaps pull it off of course. Here's hoping that the EBT investigation, BDO involvement, SPL and SFA voting, and possible UEFA / FIFA involvement puts paid to this latest sordid little scam.
