The Master
Can some of you guys phone talksport now? Durham had just said scottish clubs are stupid and have shot themselves in the foot...he knows nothing. He's trying to provoke a reaction. He's like Doncaster's cockwomble twin.
cuyahoga
STV have Kilmarnock down as abstaining, Rangers Yes, and the other 10 No If this is true MJ has potentially killed our club. What an utter embarrassment. What had he possibly to gain by abstaining? Words actually fail me. Talk about putting a massive downer on the news. If true, apologies to all for our chairman's lack of integrity, balls and ability to read and understand the needs of the game.

wunfellaff
Finished at last. First pint of the black stuff to celebrate a free Spl. The malt is still in the bottle. For now. And if killie was the abstension and Celtic were 'no', i am partly relieved after the bollox over their quietness, and partly sorry for the decent killie fans on here. Mj is indeed a (minor) cockwomble..
welshbairn
If cockwombles were to unite, what would be the collective noun for a group of these creatures? Should it be 'a gobble'? A core competency vacuum?
Green&White Zebra
It appears that some of the reports of Celtic being the abstaining vote may have originated in a "joke" fake BBC tweet posted on KDS with hidden text revealing the "joke" that was subsuquently circulated as fact rapidly. This of course does not mean anything per se, just that the pitchfork and torches can be put down until further confirmation. Too late. Angry mob marching down London Road already. We can only run for cover now.

Granny Danger
Part of the 'deal' being offered to shoehorn newco into Division 1 was a further play-off spot into the SPL, that can only be done with SPL approval. After today's overwhelming vote are the SPL chairmen going to risk the wrath of their fans on this? I don't think so. So if the SFL clubs vote newco into Division 1 they are doing so on the basis that would greatly reduce the chance of other clubs in that division winning promotion next year. Any ambitious 1st Division club must oppose this any lobby against it. Edited July 4, 2012 by Granny Danger
nsr
What was the point of abstaining? It was obvious the overall vote would be no. There's nothing to be gained by abstaining, and voting no would at least please the Killie fans.

Jim Leighton
Adrian Durham knows as much about the Scottish game as I do about his crappy wee club Peterborough.
cyderspaceman
Just heard it on 'fishul BBC Radio 4 news. Sounded gooood. Only mistake was they called 'Sevco', 'Rangers'.
Northsea80
Seems like green has been trolled by the chairmen he met over the weekend 'yeah sure chaz, put forward the proposals for entry to the spl the punishments you'd like and we'll see what we can do' Although it would appear the Kilmarnock chairman wasn't in on it!

Bob Roth
Can some of you guys phone talksport now? Durham had just said scottish clubs are stupid and have shot themselves in the foot...he knows nothing. What? And swell that ginger c***s listener figures? No chance, Talksport should stay the f**k away from Scottish football and concentrate on subliminally recruiting for the BNP.
deerokus
In fairness to Kilmarnock (never before or again shall I utter those words), they seem likely to be the worst affected club given the (apparently) parlous state of their finances. Of course, it could just be Johnston is hoping all the ex-Rangers fans in Kilmarnock (which must be 70% of the town's population ) go to Killie games instead. Shuggie_Murray7
Utterly baffled if Killie have abstained. Surely MJ knew that it would be a landslide? Why not just vote no and save the club any bother?
Uncle Psychosis
Bit too much celebration on here for my liking. This is only half the battle---need to make sure the SFL doesn't get shafted now. Us diddy-diddy-supporters backed your lot, now its time for you diddy-supporters to back up SFL.
