Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

Trying to catch-up with this evening's developments. Can anyone who's watched the various interviews answer these queries:

[1] did Green establish what the money will be spent on - and why it's being raised now (which everyone seems to agree is unexpectedly early)?

[2] what happens if the full £20M worth isn't sold?

[3] what has made the club's value increase 5 or 6 times over since he bought it at the start of the summer?

[4] what power will purchasers of the shares have - if he's valuing them at £25-30M does that mean they'd have a majority?

[5] what's the deal with the "2 years worth of season tickets" and "European Superleague" stuff?

Ta.

1/ Who agrees it is unexpectedly early? It is exactly when he said it was going to happen.

2/ The club carries on as normal

3/ He bought the club at a low price. Obviously the club is worth more since it has been brought on to an even keel

4/ We don't want anybody having a majority again. Something that has been mentioned many times since the takeover and why he would not entertain TBKs

5/ He claims they will have 2 years of season ticket sales in the 1 financial year. Never saw the European League bit but i believe UEFA are going to give a Balkan league the green light so anything is possible. Probably more talk of an Atlantic League Set Up

When Green breezed in to Ibrox in the summer with his 20 investor story,( wonder what happened to them?), he got the assets and 'history' for £5.5m.

Since then, he has lost his star players and his place in Scotlands top league. How on earth can the club now be worth what hes suggesting?

Isnt there one sevconian, just one, who will admit what everyone else sees, that this chancer is taking the absolute pish out of them, really doesnt care about them, and is going to walk away laughing all the way to the bank?

Surely there must be one of them with their head out of the sand.

No?

If not they deserve all they get.

Running costs (rates, maintenance, taxes, insurance, policing, stewarding, ambulance service, etc, etc) of Ibrox Stadium and Murray Park, Player purchases and wages and Green & Co's wages and bonuses.

[2] what happens if the full £20M worth isn't sold?

They will have to move to new homes.

[3] what has made the club's value increase 5 or 6 times over since he bought it at the start of the summer?

It hasn't. A company/club has to be profitable to have real value for both big and small-time investors to profit financially. We all know why Rangers face imminent liquidation. Well over £150million debts = Not profitable.

If Rangers were worth any real value multi-millionaire investors would have been queuing up and bidding to buy the club before Whyte bought them for £1 and again when Green bought them for £2.

[4] what power will purchasers of the shares have - if he's valuing them at £25-30M does that mean they'd have a majority?

No power - Worthless pieces of paper, worth less than bogroll. Small minority.

[5] what's the deal with the "2 years worth of season tickets" and "European Superleague" stuff?

Usual shyster bullshit.

No problem. wink.gif

Did anyone take notice of the figures in the sky news graphic on the right hand side? In the 6 month period during admin the clubs income was circa £4.5m and the outgoings were circa £7.5m! A lot of the outgoings were fixed costs like catering, policing etc. The interesting one for me was post admin wages (25%) of £2.3m. This is less, pro rata, than the current wage bill of £6m.

if the costs for 6 months during admin are £7.5m then the absolute lowest annual costs to maintain the status quo is £15m. Income from season tickets is absolute max £10m, with little other real substantial income we will round that up to £12m.

As Jeff Randell sniggered to his economics pal, explain the maths? The share issue is to plug a financial hole. If it fails it's tatas again.

Also, that fuckin tool McCoist does a mean Churchill dog impression!

Cut us some slack No8, the obsession can only last as long as the show goes on.....Soon be over then we can rest .:P

It really is this simple. The club was worth more than £5.5 million he paid for the assets. You lot have been greeting on about how he shafted the creditors buying the assets way below market value. Now the club has been put on an even keel you are greeting because the company assets are being valued in the region of what you believed they were originally worth.

We have 36,000 season ticket holders. We have a share issue that despite the negative media coverage will be a success and bring in 15 million+. Every single thing you lot have predicted has been nonsense. No Rangers..Ibrox Bulldozed...Houses on Murray Park...No players except for Under 17s...If we were to survive then 10000 would be a decent average attendance...etc etc etc

We all know he is a salesman. We all know his projected figures are pie in the sky. We all know he is in it to make money and will walk away with a hefty amount. He is a businessman and i will not grudge him 1 penny of his couple of million when he walks away.

At the end of the day when we needed somebody to come forward to save us there was not ONE Rangers minded person there...Not One!!! For all his faults Green was the only person with a feasible plan to get us out the mess created by Rangers minded fly by night businessmen whose egos destroyed our club.

Green can have my £500. If it all goes pear shaped then at least i will know I did my best to save the club. I was not found wanting like so many were in our hour of need!!

CG interview with Jeff Randall For those that have missed it.

My favourite part is when Green gets asked what shareholders would get for their £500 investment. Randall suggests a cheaper season ticket for example.

Green's answer is that season ticket holders will get the chance to buy shares.

It's just back-to-front nonsense. If I didn't despise Rangers with every fibre of my being, I'd be really worried.

Nobody is buying Shares to make money or to take money out of the club...The whole point is to put money in!!!

We get cheaper tickets by being season ticket holders in the first place!
