Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

Errrrr..... Yes.

The majority of their fanbase don't see the Minty years as a failure either. It won them lots of shiny silverware and that's ALL that matters. It's not how or who could afford it, it's the fact they won stuff. Sure, Minty had to conceal the debt in his specially set up companies within MIH Group but - hey, who cares they WON STUFF! Bought big in the transfer markets. Were courted by ALL the press / media. They WERE THE PEOPLE!

Now, we all know (?) the story of Icarus and how his demise was pretty much inevitable, well Rangers fans would sooner blame the sun than admit they flew too close in the first place.

Now the fanbase, and, it must be said, some of the would be owners/directors of the entity at Ibrox have become addicted to their (self) perceived stature and do indeed want to return to the discredited model of financing the ridiculous by means of the incredulous (maybe that's better the other way around ?)

Unfortunately for them the days of being able to call upon ludricous/dubious sources of finance to fund these ridiculous gambles or ego trips has pretty much gone the way of the dodo. At the very least, the idea that that kind of behaviour can be embarked upon un-noticed now has gone.

There will always be a spotlight on them now. Questions will always be asked, by others if they can't be relied upon to do it for themselves. Any credibility they ever had (lol) has gone forever. Any strong governing authority, not conflicted by one of its' members being entangled in the web of deceipt, would have been far more transparent and effective in dealing with this sleazy mess... but that's another subject.

I simply wonder how MANY versions of their Club they will see before the penny drops.

Sums it up nicely IMO. Winning trophies and getting it up those pesky Catholics is what matters. How they go about it and any hint if long term sustainability isn't important in the mind if your average 'Rangers man'.

Convicted tax criminal wants to take over the club, with his chum who was also involved on the board of the club that died. Current player caught betting against his own side, current player found betting when it's against the rules. Previous club that didn't pay it's taxes to Her Majesty and failed to pay millions in other debts. The whole place should be closed down and bulldozed!!

Newcastle 19th in World Football World Rankings. Maybe doesn't prove Ashley is a nice guy, but he ain't doing half bad for Newcastle.

Wonder where a Dave King led Rangers would sit in this list?

Would be if the fair play financial rules were enforeced. Unlike the Chelsea and Manchesters they are not running at the loses those clubs are.

The whole 'security over Ibrox' argument is a red herring that only make sense to the intellectually challenged. Businesses throughout Scotland, and elsewhere, use their assets as collateral to secure a loan. There's nothing unusual here.

Usually with the means to pay it back though.

Maybe Big Mike could be persuaded to rename the Big Hoose "Tobacco Road".

Simonsens another cheat, and the SFA need to hammer him and the clumpany for a lack of care after letting Black off scot-free.

if he needs legal help then maybe he could ask to use the rfffffffff fighting fund. Seeing as they used it pissing against the wind recently.

Surely this time no one can come out with the crappy excuse of 'the rules not being clear' or players 'not really understanding their obligations'.

This will be a test to see just how vigorously the SFA is prepared to enforce its own rules.
