I hope your not saying that because he is a non-executive director, that he doesn't get paid. There are 5 non-executive directors who get paid £40,000 plus expenses. If there are more than 5 non-executive directors then you might have a case. If not, then you don't. Ok Wiki. lists 4 non-executive directors (including Walter Smith). The Rangers f.c. official site lists 3 in the article announcing the return of Walter Smith (who is included). I can't find the full prospectus but a summation states that there are 5 (not named) and that those are paid £40,000 per year plus expenses. I think we can presume from that that Walter Smith is paid as a non-executive director from Rangers. As always, I am more than happy to be proved wrong.
