The optimist in me sees this as Zeus being out voted and hopefully an end to the Easdales dream of a place on the board. The cynic in me sees this as a wise move by money men to shift season tickets by putting THE Rangers legend in place but merely as a figure head with no real power. Trust Walter and all will be well. They have this wonderful ability to blame everyone or anyone else when things go wrong, but dump responsibility onto others to sort things out and kiss things better. Without them actually engaging in the whole thing. Who tucks these guys up in bed at night? Bunch of big weans. In my experience, many (ex-)OF fans have this terrible urge to give their life purpose and meaning by investing all of their energy and identity in their team, imagining they have some say in how it's run. Some of the posturing on their forums is laughable. If they'd just walk away from football for a few years, ignore the tv and MSM coverage and find other more important interests, they might find that they come out the far end as healthier, happier, better-balanced people.
