stonedsailor
So when was the club founded? 1872 a number picked from thin air to make it look like they won the cup winners cup on their centenary? 1873 as it says at Ibrox? 2012 when the club was reformed into a new club? 2014 from the official club news on the official club website? Do you know who might tell us? The ASA.
Jambos
Further proof that The Rangers will do anything to pilfer their stupid fans out of every penny they can get.
Monkey Tennis
Further proof that The Rangers will do anything to pilfer their stupid fans out of every penny they can get. With McCoist once more at the forefront of the pilfering. Simultaneously shameful and shameless.
Florentine_Pogen
Official founder member of Rangers. They are offering "Founder Member" status to absolutely anyone who ponies up £24.99. WTF ???? Surely this could go down as being a PR gaffe on a par with the Canadian Govt. who, back in 1974, included clips of baby harp seals being clubbed and skinned alive as part of a film to lure tourists to the country.

stonedsailor
They are offering "Founder Member" status to absolutely anyone who ponies up £24.99. WTF ???? Surely this could go down as being a PR gaffe on a par with the Canadian Govt. who, back in 1974, included clips of baby harp seals being clubbed and skinned alive as part of a film to lure tourists to the country. It's tempting, just to prove a point when debating with new Rangers fans. Founded in 1872? How comes this card says I'm a founding member then? EDIT cheaper to keep Lee's ugly mug holding the evidence as a screensaver on my phone. Edited July 29, 2014 by stonedsailor

Florentine_Pogen
It's a truly painful read. Who in God's name wrote it? I'll hazard the Easdales. Dictated onto a C30 cassette and typed up on an Olivetti golfball.

youngsy
What did the big bad Hibs fans do? Think you've got your wires crossed there mate.
youngsy
I wouldn't doubt for a moment, that membership of such groups swelled for the reasons you suggest, but what the Hell is relevant in proving so? Of course sectarianism was started and is influenced by events beyond football. That doesn't mean however that football can't have played a significant part in sustaining it? It's more of this, all or nothing, yes or no stuff, isn't it Youngsy? The world is more complicated than that mate. The relevance is that the man asked for a link, he got it.
Monkey Tennis
The relevance is that the man asked for a link, he got it. Yes, I see that and you obviously obliged. However, my point is that it doesn't matter because nobody is seriously suggesting that football is and has been the only factor. Some of us think it's been a pretty big one though.

WhiteRoseKillie
Has the news about Moses McNeil Park just been brushed over then? Thought it was going to be Davie Cooper? Or are they saving that for ST time next year? -
dave.j
Got to give them (the board) credit, they've come up with a great way to push all the self appointed groups and gangs to the side and tell them they have no merit or say, in the running of the company who runs the club.
