I don't get it, he isn't going to come in and be happy being backup, and Morris and Ashcroft are as solid a pairing as you're likely to get.

Poet of the Macabre
I quite like Potter but he's probably the worst manager we've ever had. Young players seem to unanimously like him as a coach though. Dean Shiels - Hmm. I quite liked him in the middle but we were clearly much better there after he dropped out of the team. Good luck to him. Mark Durnan - Not going to lie, I've always thought he was pretty bang average. AJ clearly likes him though, after working with him at Queens. Can't see him coming to EEP to be 3rd choice though, which leaves me concerned that Morris could be offski.
CallumPar
Of those we don’t know about, I have a feeling only 2/3 will stay.Morris - will turn down contractHiggy - will turn down contractCardle - may get offered contract if Higgy leavesMartin - will sign new dealM’Voto - will leaveTalbot - won’t be offered anything, if Martin staysMcManus - might stay, but think he’ll get a better offer somewhere else.To be clear, this is not me saying “I’ve heard this is what’s happening”, it’s pure speculation.

DAFC.
The type of wages he'd command, I'd doubt we would waste them on back-up. Got a bad feeling Morris is offski.
Rob1885
Durnan comfortably better than Mvoto, maybe not as good as Morris. Durnan and Ashcroft is as solid a partnership as we're likely to have tbh.

Martin will likely be first choice left back next season but he can provide cover if needed. Is Morrison still at the club? He should be trying to force his way in if he is.

CallumPar
In other news, Joe Cardle completed his UEFA A Licence. If Potter leaves (perhaps even if he doesn’t), I wonder if a player/reserve coach role may suit him? Cardle’s given a lot for the club, and it would be nice to see us giving something back and help him towards that path, that he wants to go down in the future.
