Morris up front before that too. Pretty sure I’d suggested both options on here first. Think JJ and AJ lurked here looking for advice.

Was never a fan of Morris returning. Fordyce was doing tremendously well and unceremoniously dumped out away to Alloa in the cup where we nearly gave away a 3 goal lead.

Did Johnston have a Plan A ....? I'm trying to remember one.

Aye, fair point. Not sure it was a plan though, we basically had a squad that was too good for this league and it showed.

The 'put a big defender up front' nonsense must have been tried by most managers. Total desperation stuff.

With Hay it was actually plan A as he dropped Brewster for Tod up top.

Could have been worse, it could have been like when Stuart Pearce took off an outfield player, brought on Nicky Weaver to play in goals and moved David James up front. With an outfield kit with "James 1" on the back, so it was clearly planned in advance. And with Jon Macken, an actual centre forward who at the time was their record signing sitting on the bench. Madness. Actually, I wonder if Peter Grant ever worked with "Psycho"?

Want to say this was vs Middlesbrough and decided who played UEFA Cup the following season?

Nah nae danger, got outpaced by John Sutton in the 4-3 St Mirren game. Glad Fordyce has done well since but Morris was 100% an upgrade.

Lewis Martin has signed for Kelty Hearts. Really hope he goes on to have a great career, such a shame injuries have held him back in recent years. That performance at Celtic Park was about as tenacious and flawless I’ve ever seen in a Pars jersey.

Should have stuck big Marco up front after his half time scissor kick antics.

When we were kids we used to go down the front of the Norrie at HT. Marco done one of his scissor kicks that flew past the goals and ended up hitting a guy I went to school with, breaking his wrist.

Just noticed Lee Johnson (Hibs) has been speaking to the DR about a youngsters going on loan. The two name mentioned are Dylan Tait formerly of Raith and Daniel Mackay who we have been linked with. He mentions that we're interested in him but that it's likely he'll be looking at Championship minimum.

One or two loans is ok, but when you go overboard, like Crawford did, it doesn't end well and is rather silly. We lined up with half the team made up of loan players in one game that I'd rather not be discussed.

Would rather we developed our own players rather than another team's younger players.

Talking of pish loans, wonder where Kai Kennedy will end up this season, and if the media will continue to w**k over him and claim he's a great player and promising young talent*?

*He's pish
