The Toun Clock
Wonder what the process for things like this. As soon as it goes through are Hibs expected to make contact with us, or do they turn their phone off pretending that they’ve forgotten. Probably some legal involvement somewhere, anyone actually know how it works?

Not sure it could go anywhere else. We were meant to be getting one as we were a ground picked to host Scotland ladies games for a tournament but it got binned around the covid period, was mentioned at a PSC meeting by Ross McCarthur. Not quite - we were going to host games in the 2019 UEFA European Under-19 Women's Championships but for some reason they decided at the last minute to move the games that were due to be played at East End to somewhere else (think it was Forthbank). It was probably just as well we didn't host, as the Scoreboard was rather tin-pot - I can't find any good images bit at Firhill it was plonked in the open end behind the goals and looked like one of the old Subbuteo scoreboards that was plain black with "HOME" and "VISITORS" in plain white writing and a tacky 7-segment display like you'd get on an old Casio Calculator.

It’s been so long… We had rejected a higher offer I beleive from Dundee United, which didn't have a sell on IIRC, in favour of the Hibs one which was a good bit lower, but with what is a fairly substantial sell on. Being greedy I wish Hibs had accepted the offer from Birmingham last January (rumoured to be 3.5 million), but it's still worked out pretty well.
Rob1885
Heard Hibs are sending us Lewis Stevenson and Paul Hanlon till end of the season and calling it quits.

Ah thanks for clearing that up, wasn’t 100% sure. Sure there was some mention of floodlights getting revamped too.
par-adise
How much to build a monorail between KDM Group EEP and the Old Inn?

You can't even see the score board from that stand we were in, so yeh it clearly wasn't best thought out. If we are going to get something it should be fully customizable for things like the 50/50 number and should we ever need it to confirm a 'VAR check'
Shandon Par
Giving is better than receiving so we should get a gift for John McGlynn.
forzapars
New deal until 2024 for Josh Edwards seemingly on the cards according to Scott Burns of the Daily Record.

That'd be very good buisness, was convinced he'd be away. Best left back in the league by a mile.
forzapars
Agreed. It’s a win-win for us really. He either stays with us next season and we get the benefit of him in the team, or he signs this deal to allow us chance of a decent fee this summer.

The Toun Clock
The clubs twitter just posted some Josh Edwards content, little montage of some goals etc so fairly confident an announcement on a new deal won’t be far off. Huge if so, if we go up I think he stays and plays in the Championship. If he decides to go in the summer then we still get a fee.

CallumPar
Great bit of business. He’s been fantastic this season and was one of the very few that impressed last season. Great to have him under contract, which means we can command a fee in the summer, if he keeps up his form. Very few players seem to have extended contracts here in the last 4/5 years. Other than the former youth players (McCann, Todd and Allan) I can only think of Edwards, Comrie and Dow that have done so. Hopefully McPake can help us change that trend. Edwards joined when we went through a spell of paying nominal fees/compensation for younger players. Worth noting that he is the only one of those players that ever signed an extension. The others saw out their contracts and left for free.
The Toun Clock
Couple of good signings for Falkirk today. Can’t say I know an awful lot about the boy from Ross Co other than he scored two goals against us for Montrose. Allan also scored two against us at East End and the boy Meekison from Dundee Utd is a name I’ve heard banded about, I think Utd expect him to do well for them in time. Two of their new signings have scored 36% of the 11 league goals we’ve conceded this season. Expect them to move for Frizzel at Airdrie, Paton at Queens, Lyon at Kelty and the two jobbers that scored against us for Peterhead next. Not Agyeman though, I’d genuinely think we will make a move at some point, he was named in a McPake Thursday interview the other week and also the player who’s impressed McPake the most (said this at the council meeting). I think once the Nizzy money comes in we might move one striker on and bring him in, offers something completely different.
Shandon Par
Save money by following the old Bert Paton trick of turning some of our strikers into defenders.
da_no_1
If you head over to the Falkirk thread you'll realise all our efforts are in vain as they have already clinched the title. Shame
