Calderwood came in and did a good job, he could change a game tactically really quickly and made good subs usually. He only spent what he was given and promised so not really his fault. I agree that engagement with fans was poor and I remember watching games against United and Aberdeen and tanking them thinking this is boring. Some great performances though like Patrick away or hearts at home where the football was sensational.

I also heard he was a bit jakey and got banned from the picbuachlie.

Calderwood's biggest fault was the away performances. We were usually fucking horrible away from home. We took regular pumpings at Snake Mountain and Tynecastle especially (a 7-1 sticks in the memory). I also recall an utter horror showing away to Partick where we lost 4-1 (hmmmm, sounds familiar), and one where we lost 4-0. We had the occasional good away win, but much of the time we really struggled, despite dishing out beatings to the same teams at home.

His local was the Maltings in Cairneyhill I believe.

I can remember that game, but can't remember us getting beat 4-0 by them at Firhill?

Partick were utter tosh that season and we made them look like world beaters. We were challenging for 3rd but away performances like that and against Hearts pretty much done us in terms of challenging Hearts for 3rd.

Ooft, must have blocked that from my memory!

A total shocker. Two months previously we'd beaten them 4-1 at East End. The week before this game we won 4-1 at East End against Dundee United.

We were 3 down within an hour. Wretched.

Unfortuntely it looks like Martin has some issue that needs a specialist to look at and Beadling might be a few weeks.

I think we will see a central defender and a big target man striker. He said loans, does anyone know the rules on how many we can get from one league?

Is that a thing? Is this big English dude a free agent?

I actually rate Martin as a footballer, think he'd be decent.

I just don't understand why we've signed him, we've already got Joe Thomson not getting a game and Beadling is out injured, Higginbotham and Connolly can play the Cam role aswell.

I'd have been absolutely delighted with two centre backs, or even one, but surely Martin won't be cheap?

With Beadling only a couple of weeks away he may be intending on moving him to CH (where I heard he played well against ICT) and Martin taking his place in the middle of the park. Hopefully a striker who know where the goal is, I think once Faisal gets his first they'll start flying in. In AJ we trust.

Malaury Martin and Aidan Keena as I'm sure you have all seen on .net.

F*ck .net.

Yeah that's the 2. I got messaged off a Hearts mate who's normally not too far off the mark with his information.

Keena I get as he's an out and out striker around the 6ft mark, so options. Martin though is a midfielder and I'm not sure about the logic with this signing. Hopefully AJ will explain the logic.

Aye, midfield was the last place I thought needed another body.

Just have to see how all these signings fall into place. Think it might take a while to bind them together but expect the board will want to see results with the outlay of finance.

Trusting AJ with his judgement on these 2.
