Well no, it isn't "simple". That's why I said "depends on whether Raith have protected their rights internationally or just domestically".  It's perfectly possible to protect your rights to compensation cross Border too. But it needs more action and dealt with much earlier.

The rule is there if a player goes from an SFA registered player to FA player registered player unless they are internationally registered then Zero fee will be paid to previous club.
So not zero fee if he signed for an English team as you previously stated as fact.
