D.A.F.C
Daft question, did we arrange something with Alloa to use their ground?Wondering if we might need to if the pitch is frozen again. Also why not use kelty as another alternative?
DAFC.
Daft question, did we arrange something with Alloa to use their ground?Wondering if we might need to if the pitch is frozen again. Also why not use kelty as another alternative?I think it was to use their pitch for training. They were playing at home yesterday so obviously we wouldn’t have been able to use their pitch. However, it might be something that could be arranged if this weather keeps up, inhibiting further games at EEP. We do not have a home game until the 23rd January so there might be a change in weather by then, but if not then it might be something the clubs have agreed on if Alloa are away and we were supposed to play at EEP. No idea what arrangements we have with Kelty (using their pitch for training etc) but it’s probably a lot more complicated than just using their pitch if it’s free and ours is frozen over.

Individual cubicles and whatnot, separate entrances that sort of thing.
parsforlife
There is an agreement that if either ground became unusable due to covid then the team could use the other clubs ground for home games. However I highly doubt that would be triggered cos it’s a bit cold, didn’t say it was going to be free either. Not just alloa to work around, it’s BSC’s home ground as well.
D.A.F.C
Just thinking that with what’s going on maybe a quick turnaround to a plastic pitch could be acceptable. Even swapping from eep to starks at short notice.

Even swapping from eep to starks at short notice. The issue is that with 3 fixtures against each team rather than 4 you can't swap a corresponding fixture to make up for it. Basically you lose a home game. As well as losing home advantage, the club would lose what will be one of the biggest PPV earners of the whole season. There's no need to do that when there is plenty of time to play the rearranged fixture.

It would have still ended up 2 games at Starks, 1 at east end. Other clubs have swapped fixtures already this season. obviously if we played a home game at Alloa that wouldn’t be the case, we’d still be able to run a PPV tho.
Shandon Par
You can’t put a price on annoying the wee team though.

We actually had some ParsTV boys at ours against Morton because your game was off. There'd be no issue running your PPV from Alloa.
Stoo61
I see no one has bothered to start a Morten vs Dumfermling thread on the Cup Forum. Kudos for that. Shall we ignore it?
Stellaboz
Cup will hopefully be abandoned this year to focus everyone on the league due to COVID. f**k playing Morten.

DAFC.
Comrie signs a 2 year extension. That is huge. Fantastic bit of business by the club. Now for Kyle Turner and Euan Murray.
101
Comrie officially confirmed as signing a 2 year deal. Great to get him tied down. Realistically would like to see Turner sign an extension and think Murray will probably prefer to be a free agent in the summer

CallumPar
Pleased to see Comrie sign a new deal. Been solid for us since signing and certainly must be happy here, to commit to a 2 year extension.

Stellaboz
2 year deal for Comrie? Terrific stuff. Best right back we've had since Shields in his prime, Mr Consistent.
