The Toun Clock
Always feels like Queens Park/Thistle/Ayr/Inverness just repeatedly play each other on Friday nights. The live game usually always feels like two of them are involved. I'm sure the BBC have to show all teams a certain amount of times home and away but just a feeling I get. I'm quite happy with the games we've had moved for telly. Wouldn't be heading to Morton on a Friday night anyway and the Dundee Utd game will attract a decent crowd regardless.

da_no_1
Manager on Thursday makes for some pretty grim reading. Moneyshot
Did we not play Morton away in the Friday night TV game the last time we were in the championship? Sticks out as being one of the worst games of football ever and ended 0-0 maybe? Pretty sure we never won regardless….

I swear I watched Ayr on BBC Scotland on a Friday night about 11 times last year.

From memory our two home game were against Dundee and Queens Park plus the play off game against Partick. We then played away at Cove, Queens Park, Raith, Arbroath, Hamilton and Falkirk in the cup so you’re not far off 11.

Steven Whittaker got the man of the match award, mostly because he was a new signing and a big name, and there were no stand out candidates to get the award. I think we had one shot on goal each, but we felt we'd maybe shaded it. It was dull as ditxhwater though.

Friday 3rd November - Morton v Dunfermline Friday 10th November - Dunfermline v Dundee United Worth noting we now have league games Saturday 28 October (Raith away), Tuesday 31st October (ICT at home) and now Friday 3rd November. I’m glad they haven’t moved the derby, but surely that would have been a more logical tv selection than Morton v Dunfermline? I wasn’t going to be able to attend either game and now I can watch both AND the derby stays on a Saturday afternoon. Couldn’t have suited me any better tbh.

Aye, seemed a weekly occurance. Outwith Akinyemi I found them to be a pretty bad watch aswell. Not going to lie, I'm fucking gutted the starks park derby hadn't been chosen, at a wedding that day.

Wighton being referred to a specialist in London is concerning. KRH with a new injury is concerned. Benedictus with a fractures foot is concerning. Breen with an injury is concerning. f**k sake. Who can we actually play in central defence on Saturday?! Otoo will surely feature there but who else?
Stellaboz
Comrie and Hamilton to shore it up? It's chronic, key players in every part of the pitch including in goals. Ffs.
DAFC.
F*ck sake. Just abandon this season and start again for 2024/25. We’ll surely need to bring a centre half in if Bene is going to be out as well as Breen. We can’t have two players, whose first position is not centre-half, playing there for any extended length of time. It surely cannot be good for the overall chemistry of the starting XI. Hopefully they are nothing long-lasting and it is just one game they miss, but knowing our luck, it’ll be longer than that. We can get two loans in still, so hopefully that can smooth over some of the cracks. Hopefully the board now see this as exceptional circumstances and give McPake everything needed to get bodies in. That’s our captain, goalkeeper, mainstay centre-half, midfield maestro (arguably our best player), our tricky winger (could also argue he is our best player), and our main goal threat all out injured. Lol. Edited September 7, 2023 by DAFC.

DAFC.
Play the young lads on Saturday. Any 1st choice players should be rested as much as possible. We shouldn’t be risking any more injuries because then we are heading in to crisis territory, especially for a nonsense competition.
da_no_1
Hoping that this is a ruse to field a virtual reserve team without risking the wrath of those daft c***s on .net who actually reckon this competition is worthwhile.
VinnyPar
Sutherland, Tod, Allan, Little, Hoggan, Fenton should all be playing in this one
Cardle is Magic
Injury situation this season has been a total nightmare. Mehmet, Bene, Todd, KRH and Wighton all being missing at the same time is absolute worst case scenario. That’s the entire spine of the squad ripped out. Guys who played the reserve game vs Dundee (Fenton, Sutherland, Tod, Little, Hoggan, Young, McLeod) should all be involved on Sat. We simply can’t afford to lose any more first team guys.
RAITHROVERS84
Looks like you guys might have a nigh on carbon copy of our season last term. Bene left, Berra chucked it in pre-season, Lang injured, Gullan injured, Vaughan injured…can’t really remember the numerous others. Finish 7th, struggle to put a bench together (once with only 1 outfield player) and continually playing players out of position. Turgid stuff, the odd win and a decent Scottish cup run kept the interest to some degree. Loan market will define your season. Big pressure to find a few diamonds.
