Richie95
It has took me quite a few listens, but Holy Mountain is beginning to grow on me a bit. While what I've heard from Liam so far, (Wall of Glass, Chinatown and For What It's Worth) all sound really good.
Gaz FFC
I miss Oasis bad man. Get a load of that fucking bouncy
The Saintee
Loving Liams album I didn't like Holy Mountain at first but it's definitely growing on me after a few listens.
NorthernJambo
Now tapping along to holy mountain after hating it at first. Catchy enough tune, it’s essentially pop though. Up there with ed sheeran. I’m not going to stick it on if I’m listening to some tunes in the house but I don’t need to turn off the radio if it comes on.
TheGoon
This could be decent.
Tommy Wilsons Paperboy
The last decent album that involved either Noel or Liam Gallagher was "(What's the Story) Morning Glory Nonsense - that would be Scorpio Rising by Death in Vegas.
TheGoon
Fort Knox had its first play on Radio X there. It’s basically Noel’s own version of Fuckin in the Bushes.
BradHorse
It's on Spotify now. I fucking love it. Pounding drums really driving the whole song...
Afro
Wasn't too enamoured by Holy Mountain after the first few listens but it's definitely a grower. Fort Knox is an excellent track, a big fan of that. It's natural that people won't like the direction Noel is going in, but personally I'm quite excited by the album. Shouldn't have taken him this long to make an album like this.
jamamafegan
Really not liking Fort Knox. It just isn’t doing it for me.
YER SISTERS YER MAW
Assume this is just a walk on tune for his live shows or an opener for the new album and not his next single? Hope to fck it's not a single. Be as well just sticking on the Chemical Brothers.
jamamafegan
Thing is, presuming it’s probably an opener - it’s not even a good opener. I think it’s pretty dull, i wouldn’t be getting pumped up for one of his gigs listening to that. I don’t think it’s even that good instrumentally.Really want to enjoy Noel’s new stuff, and I’m certainly not one of these wee dicks who is in “team Liam or Noel.” I’ve no time for these factions that are forming - a true Oasis fan would appreciate music from both brothers.
jamamafegan
Liam was the underdog before As You Were. Two mediocre albums with Beady Eye while Noel releases two fantastic albums. Liam had a lot to prove going solo, the fans wanted him to be successful. And he did it, AYW is a fucking top album. Then you get shitheads like Paul Weller saying As You Were is shit, clearly just sooking up Noel’s arsehole.I think Noel’s album sadly will not be my cup of tea, it will divide the fans - some will love it. I don’t see it being a massive success.
Ira Gaines
I can see Liam Gallagher headlining TRNSMT next year. Couple of big outdoor shows set. He'd go down pretty well I'd think.
YER SISTERS YER MAW
With a big outdoor Dublin gig announced as well as Finsbury Park, I wonder if he's got anything planned for Scotland?
Ira Gaines
Well TRNSMT's having it's first announcement very soon, and these shows being announced, that's why I'm leaning towards that being possible.
St. Jude
Fort Knox is going to be complete marmite for folk. I've only managed to hear it once but I really like it, sounds very Screamadelica IMO. Really like Liam's album too, actually a bit surprised at how good it is. I'm sick of people questioning if they're getting back together though, just fucking enjoy both of them bringing out quality solo albums. If they get back together, great, if not, so be it.

He's headlining the Belsonic show in Belfast, so there's a good chance.
