Francesc Fabregas
Think that day may have also been the infamous bevy down the school, everybody plastered by 1pm. The glory days. Can't quite remember how that season ended tbh but remember feeling that was a significant game. Must have been tight between us. Was Andy Brand more commonly referred to as monkey head or something? Vaguely remember him unveiling a t shirt saying 'not bad for a monkey head' whilst either at The Shire or yourselves. Not sure if you're having me on here or not, but at the end of the season Dumbarton won the league and Stenhousemuir were promoted via the play-offs.
Bring Back Paddy Flannery
Christ. Maybe that day down the school done more damage than originally feared.
squeezebox-son
So Nicky Phinn has signed on. Not sure what to make of it. I personally think he will be a decent enough squad player if he stays fit. But only time will tell that.

The Moonster
Bad signing IMO If it's pay as you play it's not a bad signing at all. I can't imagine we'll have offered him anything other than that with his injury problems.
Bring Back Paddy Flannery
Don't rate Phinn at all from what I've seen tbh. Don't really feels he offers much. Would rather we had brought another midfielder in. If Turner gets injured and we have to rely on a midfield combo of Aggy and Phinn then our defence will get a battering. Would be delighted for him to prove me wrong.
Sweet Pete
He'd probably be quite decent in a midfield 5. In fact a midfield 5 of (l - r) McDougall, Agnew, Turner, Phinn, Gilhaney would be great, just a shame we don't have a target man anymore to play ahead of them.

Would be delighted for him to prove me wrong. I understand peoples concerns but he only played 6 times last year and never really got a run in the team due to his injuries. Murray's had him in for the full pre-season and he must be happy with what he's seen and been told by the physio/sports scientist. I have no doubt that fully fit Nicky Phinn will be a useful addition and actually think he may be more suited to a midfield 5, playing in the middle with Turner and Agnew alongside. That means sacrificing a forward but MacDougall/Gils/Agnew and even Phinn should be able to support. Against the stronger teams in this league I think that could work. EDIT - f**k you Pete. Can't really see it, the lad would be looking for more financial security than that surely?

Gils was on pay as you play when he first came to us because he had similar injury problems to Phinn.

Bring Back Paddy Flannery
Gilhaney (winger) playing in behind Smith whilst Megginson (striker) is played out wide. WHY? Muzz out.
The Moonster
Glad to see we've kept our hopeless start tradition in tact. I look forward to May, it'll be a success.
bobo13
Any sons fans heard of the lad Gerard Lunday who just signed for them couple days ago. Ex Dundee United Centre Half I work with the boys uncle. Don't know if he will play 1st team or reserves or something but the boy is capped for Scotland at Youth level so he must be a decent prospect.
