Sons' sorrow

He was widely quoted for the Dunfermline job before Allan Johnston got it. Might not be the worst.

He was the bookies favourite at one point, yet so were Aitken and Bollan before we eventually appointed Johnston.

Bollan might be a decent shout for the job, as he's done a good job with Airdrie considering they have a minuscule budget.

Dreadful for St Mirren and worse again still for Queen of the South. A firm "no" from me.

You say dreadful for St Mirren. He succeeded for seven years in keeping them in the Premiership. Much like the job Murray did for us in the Championship but over a longer period. Took Queens Park from bottom of the league last season to runners up this season. Proven track record.

He was hugely unpopular with the St Mirren support and they continually flirted with relegation over that time whilst playing some awful football and having an horrendous record. He then did the same with Queens with disasterous results for them. Getting St Mirren promoted a decade ago and moving a division three club up a few places is hardly a proven track record. He's a dinosaur who specialises in anti-football.

With Regards Stephen Aitken he lives in Erskine and has a job at Rolls Royce factory next to Airport.

Think he said somewhere because his job was quite good he would only give it up for full time management.

Seems Dumbarton might tick a few boxes for him anyway.

Teale, Bollan, Aitken. Any of these guys and hopefully not some backwards thinking dinosaur like Billy fucking Stark

That's precisely what I want the club to avoid, any of the old timers who continually hop on and off the managerial merrygoround. Get someone young, hungry and ambitious.
