Thommo90
I know for a fact we paid one of our players £100 a week and there was a win bonus if included at the time (think it was £20). But this was in the third division though.
Thommo90
How long is everyone's contract? I know brown is 2 year and barr is 6 months, I'm assuming everyone else is 1 year?

I think Barr is on a year long deal: http://www.dumbartonfootballclub.com/squad/?mode=squad&SquadID=36&id=681 But aye, I think unless stated otherwise when they sign (a-la Brown) then everyone else is only on one year deals.

Said in the daily record it was only 6 months, would reckon our site would be more accurate though.
ayetherock
£300-£350 per week. Win bonuses are available too, £100+ or so I hear. That's what I've heard. Also heard that livi offer the same and that's full time. Clyde are supposedly offering the same and £100 win bonus and 2k signing on fee
Scottylintonstowel
You will find that most players will accept if part timers a moderate weekly wage if they receive a decent signing on fee. A fee of £5000 plus a weekly wage of £300 plus a half decent bonus scheme could bring in a part timer well over £20000 per year. In addition transport costs will be paid and football boots will be paid for plus a free dinner on match days. Not too bad a deal. This could be the reason for Gary Fleming to stay with the sons.

jessiejames
Signing on fee/free boots/free transport what team are you talking about? Not the Sons that's for sure!!
squeezeboxson
There's some right drivel posted on here. You ain't half right there! What a load of rubbish. £5000 signing on fee? Free boots, travel and meals... fair enough the lads might be given a meal pre and post match in order to make sure they are eating the right things before and after they play a match. But I highly doubt we are doing any of the rest of the nonsense mentioned.

Jan Vojáček
If you have a spare 8 minutes this is worth a watch, features Willie Gibson (quite a few times, involved in almost every goal as well) and Grant Gallagher. Willie loves a zing from the edge of the box:

Muzza81
Question. With the way things are shaping up would you consider 9th a failure?
