Sitting a QB is not a problem and usually a smart idea. But this scenario is nothing like the ones you mentioned.  Rodgers wasn't overall number 1 pick, Brady was a sixth and Romo UDFA.

All those QBs also sat behind some very good QBs, not behind a back up QB who has been forced to play starter.

Nor did any of those QBs also never cost an arm and a leg to pick.

This is a disaster for the Rams, as they have to many positions too fill to be sitting with there 2 first round pick QB in sweats.

Its not different. Where a player was drafted has no bearing on how ready they are for the pros. Carson Palmer is an even closer example where its worked out.

The Eagles have the same situation; Wentz isnt ready, they'll need to get by with shitey Sam Bradford for now but CW is clearly the better talent. Broncos too with Lynch (except hes actually not shown anything to say hes better than Trevor Siemian yet...) If any of them are made to start this season it'll ruin them. If they sit they should be the same players they were in college.

it wont be a disaster if it works out, no matter what their record is this year they've got him for a while. Whats their alternative? Get offensive weapons to build around Case Keenum?! Theyd be stuck in a 49ers or Texans or Jets or Bills led situation forever. At least theyre trying to make themselves in to something.

Its clear the Rams are at the start of a project, moving to LA and drafting a "franchise" QB seems to be the first stages of what will be a multi-year process. Theres no point destroying Goff before its even begun.

Either Teddy's injury is worse than originally feared and could be career threatening, the Vikings feel their roster is in the place where they really have to win immediately or miss their chance, or that Rick Spielman is a moron.

Possibly a combination of all three.

Possibly thinking along the lines that if Teddy is worse than expected then they would have to draft a QB in the first round next year anyway and throw him in at the deep end, also AP can't last forever so best to throw everything into now while they have a chance of going all the way.

Ravens release Forsett...genuinely surprised by that

Reports that they want to re-sign him...not really sure why. Leading theory in my group of friends is to shorten his contract...

I see the Jets released Jace Amaro. Titans have picked him up

We don't throw to TE's and Amaro can't catch shit. We kept 2 TE's - Kelleb Davis (blocker) and Brandon Bostick (receiver).

Nice to see us retain all our young WR's Charone Peake, Robby Anderson and Jalin Marshall.

At then the Eagles go and make him their starter this year...

I am not sure that it will ruin him but it certainly wouldn't have been what they were planning a month ago.
