Raidernation
In agreement Count, this is definitely a season to build a core team before (hopefully) a better deal in teh 2014 draft and better use of cap space. I'll take 8-8 as a very succesful season! Interesting to see how Flynn plays and if he's long term and not another stop-gap.
Dee4Life1893
As a Jets fan what did you think of Shonn Greene? Have we got someone who will compliment CJ?
GingerSaint
As a Jets fan what did you think of Shonn Greene? Have we got someone who will compliment CJ? No not really. He has no ability to break tackles or see gaps. He gets what the O Line gives him., which is usually 3 yards. He's good for 3rd and 1 situations but that's it. $4.5m guaranteed is about 4 times his worth. I other news, we've agreed to let the Bucs give Revis a medical.
Pride_of_the_Clyde
Schefter says that Revis is heading to Tampa for a medical. Could be a good deal for both sides though I maintain NY should be looking for the first round pick next year.

lichtie23
makes me wonder if the Buccs were looking at selecting a corner with the 13th pick this season and there now happy to give it up to get a bonified superstar
placidcasual
Expected that the other picks are for 2014. I'd have liked us to get a bit more for him than this, but getting them to take Sanchez with him was obviously asking too much.

All-Pro Darrelle Revis or Xavier Rhodes, hmm.... It highlights exactly how overvalued draft picks are.
GingerSaint
Exactly. All-Pro Darrelle Revis or Xavier Rhodes, hmm.... It highlights exactly how overvalued draft picks are. No it doesn't. It highlights the rare talent that Revis is. I'm a Bucs fan now.

GingerSaint
6 years, $96m No guaranteed money. Jets get a 2013 1st, and a 2014 3rd if Revis remains a Buc in 2014. This expression sums it up:
SuperCaleyGoBallistic
Could've been a decent deal for the Jets but I don't think the picks they got for Revis represent value. Hopefully the Jets will continue to suck for the foreseeable future.
Sloop John B
The Bucs play the Jets in New York and also play the Seahawks for the showdown with Sherman.

BishyTON
Great deal for the Bucs - no guaranteed money so they can cut or trade Revis penalty free if he isn't the same post injury and they are only giving up a 1st round pick in this years weak class and a third round pick next year (assuming Revis is still on the roster on the third day of next season, otherwise it with by a 4th round pick). Sloop John B
Jets for number one draft pick next year IMO, could they go 0-16 if they draft poorly?
