Squad for Match Day (Minus 9) Subs: Chris Kane, Mark Docherty, Pat Slattery, Scott Linton, Darren Young??? Just over a week to find another couple of forwards, a keeper and another attacking midfielder IMO!!! TOCK TICK!!! I like the new squad lay-out image you’ve used, clearly we need one or two more strikers, a back-up keeper and attacking midfielder and we have a squad to go. The days are counting fast on the competitive stuff which is the bookies cup and it’s been quiet on news front hopefully some news picks up soon. East Fife is best
Very worrying the lack of signing news there seems to be a real lack of players left out there to bring in Hopefully we get some decent loans over the weekend and next week or it will be a very long season

Not sure what's made them think Stranraer are ahead of us and a few others, but this is gonna be a mega tough league this year I think.

Could be value in going for airdrie or Arbroath...
Tom Hagen
It's fairly obvious that we need another striker, esp if Smith or Court pick up an injury! Not sure who's available or if we have funds but fingers crossed we hear more signing news soon. I'm sure Court will be out to prove a point after limited chances at the Rovers. We live in hope Usually a squads budget is determined by how many players you release & how many you bring in. This seasons budget has been increased by over £35k due money saved on pitch maintenance, Raith staying in our League , Raith using Bayview for friendlies & cup ties. The money was correctly not used IMO on 37 yr old Derek Lyle but Young has to weigh up whether to use this money on 2 or 3 part time players or 1 ex full time player & loan players. Expect some transfer dealings soon !

WhoAmI
Don't think we will see any well known signings, possibly a couple of the younger guys and the ex Alloa goalkeeper who have been training and playing in the friendly matches. Would like to see a biggish name striker as a priority but don't think that will happen now.
Cosmic Joe
I think we will be adopting a 4-5-1 formation for the most part this season, making use of our strength across the middle of the park...
King Kebab
So pretty much the formation that didn't work/wasn't implemented correctly/was a disaster last season???Great!!!

An excellent use of our weakness of only having 1 striker, a long season ahead for Court.
T-zero
If Agnew is playing just behind court I think it could work, duggan didn’t have any players near him and was isolated.
east fife for life
Get the 4-5-1 to f**k! Another season with a lone striker isolated up top on his own with little/no support won't cut it for me or many others. Play offs have to be our aim!
Rovers1992/1993
If you are playing 4-5-1 then why did you sign court? He can’t play as a lone striker.
Bayviewboy
A lot was made of the fact that Darren Young came in late last year, didn’t have long to assemble a squad with some players already signed. At the moment we have only 13 signed players who are fit to play in our first competitive game which is 8 days away. Linton and Sparky are weeks away from featuring and I think it’s highly unlikely that Darren Young will feature. Does anyone know if we had more or less signed players at the same stage last year ???Like some others, I am really concerned if we are going to continue to play 1 up front especially a young player like Court. Hopefully we see a few more players in over the weekend to bolster the squad
