sjc
Having seen her in the flesh, she's a fine craft indeed. I'd stop in for a chat, but I'm usually rushing to work. Mind you with all these new students in the area sjc, you'll need to be careful. Then again it could be the greatest chat up line ever. "Want to see my boat....." Thanks mate........feel free to pop over for a chat if you have the time That is a good ice breaker The freshers have been out in force the last week or so.......last year they were swimming in the canal at 3am.
endieinreekie
Fastest escape route from 'the old naked guy on the boat'?? Yes, especially when they are wrapped in rolls of old carpet and 'helped' into the water with lead weights.
Florentine_Pogen
Yes, especially when they are wrapped in rolls of old carpet and 'helped' into the water with lead weights. Two suggestions then :- 1. 'Klinghoffer'. 2. 'The Robert Maxwell.'

supermik
How long does it take to stick a few boards on the wall? Are the floors being tiled or Amtico type flooring?
sjc
How long does it take to stick a few boards on the wall? Are the floors being tiled or Amtico type flooring? Vinyl floor in the bathroom......tiles on boats aren't the smartest idea to be honest, whether it be on the walls or the floor. With regard to the walls, I was sent the wrong panels for lining the bathroom......... they should have been 6mm ply with an oak veneer. All in all the joiner works would be a week to re-install the ceiling panels, install the bathroom partition walls, install wetwall, fit kitchen and lay oak flooring. No point in them being there until these materials are in really as they wouldn't get any of the remaining works finished.........they're very good Joiners in fairness. Bobby Skidmarks
What do you need a wetroom for, just have a bath in the canal. Have you not been tempted to take out one of the Edinburgh Uni rowers going past shouting in posh English at 6am on a Sunday?

chomp my root
No. I'm not calling my newly renovated home after a teenage boys favorite passtime! You don't have to be a teenage boy, there's two types of people in the world, 'chuggers' and liars I suppose you could go with buckeroo as an alternative.
sjc
I dont know, the SS Subbuteo has nice ring to it. My ex gf also had a nice ring but I'm not naming the boat after her either!

I know that and don't deny it but I'm not naming a 17t narrowboat after a wanking chariot! Fate shall not be tempted......the original name stays.
