Hillonearth
In North Lanarkshire there are some villages with exotic sounding names such as Gowkthrapple, Bonkle and Pather. You can almost smell the German sausage! Gowkthrapple and Pather are just schemes in Wishaw. Bonkle's a weird one though, it's like someone papped three or four wee streets in the middle of a field. Guy I used to work with came from there originally - goes without saying his nickname was The Man From B.O.N.K.L.E.

Billy Jean King
Has Drongan (only ever called Drungan in the local vernacular) had a mention yet. Truly awful seething sectarian cesspit with union jacks fluttering from many a bedroom window. New Cumnock, Dalrymple and Dalmellington are not far behind in the shite hole stakes.

Sliced Bread
Fraserburgh and Peterhead are both grim, bleak, desolate, oppressive places where good feeling and ambition go to die. No life left in either town. It's a toss up between the two for me, but I have to go with Peterhead because I'm from Fraserburgh.

Sliced Bread
Fraserburgh and Peterhead are I believe the only two towns in Scotland that still have Wimpy restaurants.

Jacksgranda
Dingwall. Was that a comment, or were you adding another town to the list?
wishyman
Need to go a bit to beat Rigside. When it comes into view, through the mist, your heart sinks. Rignam is the pits. Edited February 7, 2016 by wishyman

Think there are lots of pictures to prove it, if you wade through the thread as you are not the first to put Rigside forward for this.
