Ryan Gauld

Aye, making about £8k a week in an environment you're comfortable with, with your native tongue spoke there and only a short drive up the road to your family.

Sounds terrible.

Portugal - hot, beaches, babes, good food.

England - shit hole.

There's only one winner here.

If he doesn't make it at Lisbon he won't be earning 8k a week

How could you possibly know that?

David Goodwillie was once making around £25,000 per week, after never playing at a higher level than Dundee United. If Gauld was to come back to Britain, he'd still be able to live off the 'baby Messi' tag and get a decent Championship team where £8k a week isn't even near the top end of the pay scale. It's all irrelevant though, as he is 'too wee' to play there.

He won't come back to Britain most likely ever, he will stay in Portugal then go to La Liga, Much better than the abortion of a career you propose for him, living in fucking Leeds or some shithole like that, playing idiot football, getting kicked all over the park. He's much smarter than you.

I would say Blackburn is a higher level than Dundee Utd, do you even read your posts? Who do you think was paying him 25 grand a week the tooth fairy?

I'm not sure someone who can't even grasp the quote function on a football website should be judging who's smarter than who tbf.

Goodwillie had an absolute mare football wise. Sure he made big bucks but he was at a shithole city. Think he scored like 1 goal in the cup against Newcastle. Hit the bar in the prem against Everton. That's all I remember him doing. Tragic. Now he's back in Scotland.

Go to a shithole like Blackburn and rot or shine in Portugal? There can only be one.

I'd be surprised if Goodwillie wasn't playing in the Scottish Championship next season, his "performances" against us for County last season were embarrassing. Seems to have totally fallen out of love with the game but has no other career to fall back on.

Strachan says our players are too small, not physical enough and not skilled enough.

In my opinion the lack of physicality matters only because we are not skilled enough to hold the ball under severe pressure.

A blind man can see that we should be fast-tracking players like Ryan gauld into Scotland team, where skill really matters when playing decent international sides.

Gauld, Watt, Fraser and McKay have the pace and/or skill we need.

I thought Watt looked really impressive when he made his debut.

Strong with decent pace, shame he's a bit of a dobber with a penchant for injuries.
