Is this a serious question?

Bookies odds don't follow likelihood of victory, they follow the numbers of people betting on one outcome or another.

If enough people were betting on Yes it would show a Yes win as an odds on bet despite the polls being the other way round.

Christ almighty. What the hell do they teach kids at schools these days?

*ucking modern studies.

Totally wrong.

More bets have been placed on YES to win. 58.38% of all bets on indyref have been placed on YES.

You're obviously the forum's self appointed gambling expert or a wannabe bookie.

Why do you suppose there's a limit on the amount punters can put on a Yes win but not on a No win?

Is the amount placed on a Yes win more or less than a No win?

Just asking like!

There is no limit. You can place as many bets as you want on NO winning.

Obviously more money has been lashed onto NO to win.

Just telling like!

So in short none of us really has the faintest idea. Yes could be ahead 55:45 or No could be seriously romping this at 70:30.

We'll know on 19th Sept.

Either way it'll be a relief when it's all over.

Will we know on the 19th?

Has anyone any idea how long it`ll take to collate all the results?

Also will it be like a general/local elections with the results coming in by region/council area, or will it just be a yes or no result when they get all the results in?
