I'll be doing my usual election night routine of treating myself to a wee kebab, drinking a few cans of beer then reverting to soft drinks, energy drinks and strong coffee, depending on how long it all lasts. I'm an 'electionophile' at the best of times but this is going to be something different altogether. Definitely, whatever the outcome, this is a historic occasion. I really, really can't start thinking it will happen though. It would be absolutely fucking painful. I'm trying hard to keep calm, but my nerves are jangling.
