5/10 today. Not bad, given how few I actually knew for sure.

5 for me, too. Wasn't sure of any, although fairly certain of 2, 5 & 6

ETA: Beat WRK - time to retire.

3/10. Was convinced I had q1 right, even now I've seen the answer I'm not sure if I've misunderstood the question or if the answer is wrong(it's probably just me being an idiot)

You could be onto something...

Roughly how many times taller than an average French woman is the Statue of Liberty?

The correct answer was given as 20 times.

Trouble is, that you don't really know if they mean including the plinth, or just the statue itself.

The statue itself is 151 feet tall, meaning your average French-type burd is 7 feet 6 inches high. A tall order.

The whole thing is around 100 feet tall, meaning French women are beanpoles.

Either way, the question was a bollocks.

Anyway, I'm late for trainspotter's lunch club.

If I could sum up that blogpost in one word, it would be "smug".

Unlike my recent post when I got 10/10. :whistle

I spent five or six years, back in my single days in the eighties, hosting two pubs' quiz nights in York, being successful enough to be paid cash money rather than the traditional free beer for the evening. Had I displayed the attitude this smug twat does, I'd never have seen the Nineties!
