eddiemunster
The Soup Dragons and their cover of "I'm Free". Someone mentioned Figure 5 previously, did their drummer have no arms or did I dream that? -
Bert Raccoon
1990s (the band, not the era) cracking Glaswegian band formed from the ashes of The Yummy Fur. First album was excellent, second was quite good but nothing since. Hopefully they will make a return.

Uncle Psychosis
Anyone remember Peeps Into Fairyland? Late 90s, early 00s band. Were part of that whole Idlewild scene. Really, really good but I can't find anything by them online so you'll just need to believe me.
paranoid android
Who was the band with the amazing crazy backwards video that starts and ends with the boy sleeping in his bed? Something's telling me they might have been something to do with The Beta Band, but that might just be my imagination! Still one of the best videos I've ever seen.

dorlomin
Guy from Dumbarton called David Byrne had a reasonable career in the states but not been too active recently.
stevieKTID
Good to see Hipsway getting a mention earlier. Did the guitarist not go on to rattle Sharleen Spiteri? Anyway, De Rosa (not too long ago), two decent albums then fucked off. De Rosa have reformed and have been working on new material, they played a gig in Edinburgh in December
Savage Henry
Remembered these guys being pretty good. Looked up a youtube... pretty dreadful. But Jackie Leven was always great, and much missed.
paranoid android
Remembered these guys being pretty good. Looked up a youtube... pretty dreadful. The Nectarine #9 were the brainchild of Edinburgh's Davey Henderson, who have previously fronted Win and The Fire Engines. Win had that great single 'You've Got The Power', and had a great sound, but it was all too cynical for its own good. All of Henderson's bands have been really well received among Scottish music journos, but I never felt they fully merited the praise they got - I aye wondered if they had mates in the right places? I'm not saying they weren't good, likesay - maybe just that they weren't quite that good.
