WTF is the old clown on about now?!?!?!?

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/116734

It looks like he is threatening the smaller teams, 'get in line or else'. 'F1 doesn't need you, you are not that important'.

In theory the idea would work but still remains the idea of costs. The idea would work but it would turn F1 into something similar to what they have in Indycar. The problem would be if a new team wanted to come in, such as a well backed independent or car manufacturer who wanted to build their own car and challenge the top 5 teams.

Looks like gone are the days when all the teams worked together for the best of the sport, now they are all divided up and only looking after their own interests.

Just reading that this morning. I don't think it will ever happen, but it's a fucking horrendous idea. What happens the first time one of the GP2 cars wipes out a race leader when he's being lapped for the 15th time?

First thing I thought was are these cars going to be developed through out the year to keep pace with the top teams with all their state of the art facilities, those GP2 cars would fall further and further behind as the season went on, might mean the scrapping of the 107% rule in qualifying altogether and this is regardless of their f1 spec engines. Bloody dangerous as well.

Bernie has completely lost it. Either that, or he's been trolling everyone recently. I'm sure potential sponsors will love his comments on attracting young fans.

I don't think Bernie or Blatter will ever die.

Caterham will race in Abu Dhabi according to the team's administrators, not sure who will drive for them alongside Kumui Kobayashi as Marcus Ericsson has left for Sauber, maybe could be between Sauber test driver Guido Van Der Garde, Max Chilton, Charles Pic, Joylon Palmer, Davide Valsecchi or...... Rubens Barrichello??.

Bernie will not be happy about this.

Living proof that there may be some element of truth to the old saying that only the good die young.

Not happening now I expect, SSN reporting that all 230 Caterham staff have been paid off.

Edit: Administrator says they still intend to race next week.
