Redwedge77
Former Falkirk assistant, Gordon Young, may be a front runner according to AA. Currently in charge of Latvian side, Liepāja, and assistant manager of their national side. Was assistant under Barry Smith and Paul Hartley at a few clubs in the country after heading up the Motherwell academy. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/gordon-young/profil/trainer/12134 Another non story Gordon Young and Tam Richie both joining Paul Hartley at Cove Rangers.

Waspy
Naysmith and McFadden give me the fear.
Waspie
Quite happy it's not Hartley. Did a great job for us previously and I wouldn't write him off as a manager just yet, despite what the Bairns say, but I'd fear he'd come in and look to make a load of changes. We don't need that. Wish him well at Cove. Wouldn't get too excited about Naysmith being at the Recs either. Given his situation I'm sure he wants the job and as such it's understable that he'd show willing and turn up at our game last night. Doesn't necessarily mean he is a genuine contender.
weetoonlad
He was there doing some work for another team who Clyde have in the cup later this month
tryall
Callum Davidson has lots of experience as number 2 at St Johnstone and this would be a good first job for him as number 1.

martynwasp
Have any of the trialists from the two games looked promising?
weetoonlad
No thought the No2 was poor last night need 2 centre half's and one striker asap
KierenAAFC
The no.2 was at Albion Rovers last season. Very meh. Think Broque Watson could be a decent squad player as the season goes on. Agree we need defenders. Another attacker maybe but not sure we need an out and out striker. Maybe a winger/can play up front. We have Thomson to come back as wel.
mcqbez
Thought the right back done well to set Bucks up for the goal and may be an adequate squad player...the other right back that came on was out his depth.
printer
Have any of the trialists from the two games looked promising? Not really. Substitute right back last night (and the first game) did OK, but no one has stood out as even near the quality we need, even for young players. First right back last night didn't look like he was used to that position. To be fair to all the trialists, they are young guys who aren't used to this level - even the level the friendlies have been at. It was actually a competitive game last night. Clyde played pretty well and had a fair amount of power and pace in their team. Good run out and the Livi game will be another step up. Only pity is that Flanny and Stevie H have missed the first two games and so will be a little bit behind in terms of sharpness. They'll catch up quickly enough.

whereismillar
The no 2 was no right back , at fault for 1 goal, but looked good going forward maybe a good player to have on the bench , but not at right back please .

Clyde were well up for it and will be a competitive league 1 side , we were well beaten by them last season so last night was a good run out , if Adam brown cut out his slack passing early on he could be the player he wants to be , Taggs needs to get back at right back as well , we need the manager in soon , then we can worry about loans ..still time of course and no need to panic .
