DukDukGoose
On a happier note I have to admit I was jealous of Motherwell's midfield 3 until Turnbull left. Now I'd say we're far ahead as the third best midfield in the league. Not a million miles off the ugly sisters either.
TonyFerrino
A bit of a hero for me when growing up no matter who he was playing for. What utterly shite news.

Tbh I always forget he was at Hibs but that's probably where you can consider his final years as a top quality keeper.

RussellAnderson
he was my first favourite player, in his second spell. I was a young goalkeeper (third choice lol, didnt last long) and his performances then were still terrific. I was regularly regaled with tales of the 80s from my dad too, gothenburg, Bayern, cup finals. I truly wish him all the very best as he battles this. A fuckin legend in every sense of the word.

TommyDickFingers
Sooo... after some pleasing displays of late are we looking forward to our top scorer returning to the fold?
DukDukGoose
Just now, TommyDickFingers said: Sooo... after some pleasing displays of late are we looking forward to our top scorer returning to the fold? Hahaha. I reckon he could be an asset with how we're playing as we haven't had the best out of Watkins yet. Just not if we resort to aimless punts. I know the front of that stand will have been mic'd but what a difference those 300 folk made.

Great GIF work, that. It will be interesting to see what happens with Cosgrove, provided he is still with us when he returns to fitness. I suppose Watkins could replace one of Wright or Hedges and make room for Cosgrove to 'lead the line', although I have really liked some of the interchange between the current front three - they seem to be developing a good understanding. Anyway, one of the front three will probably get a six-month injury in the next couple of weeks and that will be the dilemma solved.

DukDukGoose
Special shout out to Stuart Duff who today claimed Aberdeen could have done with McCrorie earlier on in the season. His first game was our second game and there may have been a slight issue with playing him in the first...

I'm not sure he should get straight back in the team to be honest. He doesn't work the channels and hold up as well as Watkins, but he's scored so many goals in the last couple of seasons that you can't not play him. Hopefully his return (whenever it is) doesn't signal a return to hoofball. Feels like we are just starting to play proper football again and I'd be sad if we return to the eye bleed stuff. Excellent gifing by the way.
DA Baracus
That's shite for Leighton but he says in that article that he's fine now. Always liked him for Scotland.
big al
Ideal scenario for me would be to get Cosgrove fit and sold for 3million to plug the financial gap. Or if being greedy he stays but as a super sub if required if we could afford to keep everyone. Never a type of player for the link up play and movement. Granted he has improved over the last couple of seasons but a step backwards starting him again.

(He was excellent yesterday. Probably his best game for the Dons.)
